This is a leadership opportunity to contribute to large-scale transportation projects while leveraging your expertise in utility design and coordination. In this role, you will lead the preparation of detailed design drawings for wet utilities (storm, sanitary, and watermain), and guide multi-disciplinary projects, including civil, highways, and transit/rail infrastructure in the GTA. You will also mentor junior staff, manage complex designs, and collaborate with stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery.</p>\n<p><strong>Role Accountabilities:</strong><br>\n You will lead utility designs for MTO/Metrolinx and municipal projects, including:</p>\n<ul>\n <li>Preparing and reviewing preliminary and detailed utility design drawings, reports, and memos.</li>\n <li>Designing temporary and permanent relocations of utilities, including watermain, sanitary/storm sewers, gas, electricity, and telecommunications.</li>\n <li>Ensuring compliance with applicable standards, guidelines, and regulations.</li>\n <li>Coordinating with project teams, clients, contractors, and third-party utility stakeholders.</li>\n <li>Evaluating technical alternatives, resolving complex technical issues, and interfacing with other disciplines.</li>\n <li>Developing preliminary designs using CAD tools (e.g., Bentley, Autodesk) for wet and dry utilities.</li>\n <li>Designing utility protection and relocation plans across concept, preliminary, and detailed design phases.</li>\n <li>Mentoring junior staff and fostering their professional development.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Qualifications:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering. Master’s degree not required, but also considered an asset.</li>\n <li>8+ years of experience on large, complex transit/transportation projects with increasing levels of responsibility.</li>\n <li>P.Eng. designation (or eligibility for designation).</li>\n <li>Direct experience with GTA public and private utility companies is an asset.</li>\n <li>Proficiency with CAD tools (MicroStation, Inroads/Open Roads, or AutoCAD Civil 3D) related to sewers and watermain.</li>\n <li>Strong written and oral communication skills.</li>\n <li>Experience with sewer and watermain design calculation and modelling tools such as Infoworks, EPANET, Infoworks etc.&nbsp;</li>\n <li>Knowledge of permits, licenses and approval procedures for utilities.</li>\n <li>Demonstrated ability to work independently and lead multi-disciplinary teams.</li>\n <li>Experience with trenchless methods for installing small and large diameter watermains and sewers is an asset.</li>\n <li>Construction field experience and familiarity with municipal and road authority standards are assets.</li>\n</ul>\n<p style=\"margin-left:0in\">Why Arcadis?</p>\n<p style=\"margin-left:0in\">We can only achieve our goals when everyone is empowered to be their best.
