    "requisitionDescription": "<div><div><div><div><div><p id=\"isPasted\"><br></p><p>&nbsp;<strong>Position Title</strong>: Speech Language Pathologist&nbsp;</p><p><strong>Status</strong>: Exempt, Full-Time, 48-Week Position&nbsp;</p><p><strong>Reports To</strong>: Assistant Principals/Executive Director</p><p style=\"margin-left:2.0in;\"><strong>&nbsp;</strong></p><p><strong>JOB SUMMARY:</strong></p><p>Archbishop Damiano School (ADS) is seeking a compassionate, collaborative, and student-centered Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to support students with multiple disabilities and complex communication needs in a dynamic special education environment. The SLP will provide assessment, therapeutic intervention, consultation, and communication support services to students ages 3&ndash;21 while partnering closely with educators, related service providers, and families to promote student growth, independence, and meaningful participation across educational settings.</p><p>The ideal candidate demonstrates strong clinical knowledge, effective collaboration skills, and a passion for supporting students with diverse learning, sensory, behavioral, and communication needs through individualized and functional therapeutic strategies.</p><p><strong><u>Essential Duties/Responsibilities of the Position</u></strong><strong>:&nbsp;</strong></p><ul style=\"list-style-type: disc;margin-left: 0in;\"><li>Conduct speech-language evaluations and assessments to identify students&rsquo; communication strengths and needs.</li><li>Develop and implement individualized treatment plans and therapeutic interventions aligned with students&rsquo; educational goals and functional communication needs.</li><li>Provide direct and consultative speech-language therapy services to students with multiple disabilities and complex communication profiles.</li><li>Support students with expressive and receptive language disorders, articulation deficits, fluency disorders, voice disorders, pragmatic language needs, feeding challenges, and other communication-related disabilities.</li><li>Assess and support students utilizing augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) systems and devices.</li><li>Collaborate with classroom teams, related service providers, and families to support student communication goals across educational settings.</li><li>Participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings and contribute to the development of measurable goals, progress reports, and related documentation in accordance with state and federal regulations.</li><li>Maintain timely, accurate, and compliant therapy documentation, progress monitoring, and service records.</li><li>Support students with sensory, behavioral, adaptive, and communication challenges through individualized therapeutic strategies.</li><li>Monitor student progress and adjust therapeutic approaches as appropriate to maximize student engagement and success.</li><li>Provide consultation, modeling, and training to educational staff, paraprofessionals, and families regarding communication strategies and supports.</li><li>Collaborate with administration and related service leadership to support effective delivery of student services.</li><li>Remain current with emerging best practices, therapeutic techniques, assistive technology, and AAC systems.</li><li>Participate in department meetings, professional development activities, and school-based trainings.</li><li>Promote teamwork, professionalism, flexibility, and a collaborative approach within the school community.</li><li>Observe and maintain all school policies and procedures related to student safety, confidentiality, behavior management, infection control, attendance, and professional conduct.</li><li>Perform other duties as assigned.</li></ul><p style=\"margin-left:.5in;\"><strong>&nbsp;</strong></p><p><strong>QUALIFICATION FOR THE POSITION:</strong></p><p><strong>&nbsp;</strong></p><ul style=\"list-style-type: disc;margin-left: 0in;\"><li>Master&rsquo;s degree in Speech-Language Pathology required.</li><li>Valid New Jersey Speech-Language Specialist certification required.</li><li>Valid New Jersey Speech-Language Pathology license through the New Jersey Division of Consumer Affairs required.</li><li>ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred.</li><li>Minimum of one (1) year of experience in a school-based or special education setting preferred.</li><li>Experience supporting students with multiple disabilities, medically complex needs, feeding challenges, and complex communication needs preferred.</li><li>Experience utilizing augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) systems preferred.</li><li>Approved Criminal History Review from the New Jersey Department of Education Office of Criminal History Review required.</li><li>CPR and First Aid certification preferred.</li><li>Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.</li><li>Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with students, families, and interdisciplinary teams.</li><li>Demonstrated compassion, patience, flexibility, and commitment to supporting students with diverse learning and communication needs.</li></ul><p style=\"margin-left:.5in;\"><br></p><p><strong>Compensation &amp;
