The company maintains a consistent focus on four core principles:</p><ul><li>Take care of teammates</li><li>Be known for remarkable events</li><li>Positively impact the community</li><li>Profitably improve</li></ul><p><strong>&nbsp;</strong></p><p><strong>&nbsp;</strong></p><p><strong>ABOUT THE ROLE:</strong></p><p>The Event Seasonal&nbsp; Turn Marshals work on track during raceway events including NASCAR, racing school programs, 24 Hour of LeMons, CSRG, Drifting, and open test days. Turn Marshals closely observe the on-track action to ensure the safety of the drivers and crews responding to incidents on track.</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p>The ideal candidate will adopt a GLOBE mentality. GLOBE stands for Generously Lending Our Best Efforts. This is done by holding themselves and their teammates accountable for taking our best practices &ldquo;the last mile&rdquo; &ndash; optimizing them for maximum value to all of our stakeholders while sharing insights on how to improve our company. The ideal candidate will also be a productive and proactive self-starter who is passionate about his/her duties and willing to put forth the extra effort to achieve excellence.</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p><strong>&nbsp;</strong></p><p><strong>RESPONSIBILITIES:</strong></p><ul><li>Work in a course marshal &ldquo;box&rdquo; monitoring a specific turn on the road course</li><li>During an on-track incident, wave the correct flag to inform competitors of an accident, oil down, etc.&nbsp;</li><li>Communicate with Race Control on track conditions that may affect drivers&rsquo; ability to race safely</li><li>Provide information to track safety crews</li></ul><p>&nbsp;</p><p><strong>&nbsp;</strong></p><p><strong>&nbsp;</strong></p><p><strong>Training:</strong></p><p>Sonoma Raceway will provide training on the types of racing flags used for each group and when to display them during on-track incidents. Turn Marshals will not respond to on-track incidents, but rather observe and communicate to Race Control to create a safe racing environment.</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p><strong>MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:</strong></p><ul><li>The ideal candidate will be energetic, outgoing, well organized, professional, able to handle&nbsp;</li><li>multiple tasks, and work well in a fast-paced environment</li><li>Marshals must be able to stand for extended periods and be able to wave a flag</li><li>Have good hearing and vision</li><li>Marshals will need to work well with customers/clients and fellow turn marshals</li><li>Candidates will need to communicate clearly over a radio</li><li>Valid driver&rsquo;s license</li></ul><p>&nbsp;</p><p><strong>&nbsp;</strong></p><p><strong>PAY RATE: $18/hr +</strong></p><p>&nbsp;</p><p><br></p><p><strong>SCHEDULE:</strong></p><p>Sonoma Raceway holds events 340 days per year. The majority of those events require Turn Marshals to monitor the track.
