Focused on leveling up patient care, we are incorporating technology, creative problem solving, and innovating healthcare every day.</p><p><strong>How you can make an impact:&nbsp;</strong>You will bring your compassion and empathy to the office everyday while providing patient care under the direction of the RN or LPN. &nbsp;In addition to the emotional support, you will extend to patients, you will also assist with supplies and equipment ordering, and is committed to creating a positive team environment while being a good team member.</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p><strong>What you will do:</strong></p><ol><li><strong>&nbsp;</strong>Escort patients from processing room to the exam room. &nbsp; Take a history of visit and chief complaints.</li><li>&nbsp;Take temperature, pulse, blood pressure, height and weight of all patients, and pulse as indicated. &nbsp;Documents vitals in patient&rsquo;s chart in EMR.</li><li>&nbsp;Perform dipstick Urinalysis (OB), Head circ, vision and hearing (Pediatrics). &nbsp;Documents all findings in patient&rsquo;s chart in EMR.</li><li>&nbsp;<strong>Translate for the provider as needed or assist with the language line.&nbsp;</strong></li><li>&nbsp;Keep patient flow to the provider constant, attending to the provider&rsquo;s needs for assistance and supplies as required, as indicated by feedback.</li><li>&nbsp;Prepare patient exam rooms and assist providers during exams as requested.</li><li>&nbsp;Clean and disinfect exam room after each patient and prepare rooms for next patient.</li><li>&nbsp;Discharge patient and schedule next appointment.</li><li>&nbsp;Maintain logbooks as designated in each department.</li><li>&nbsp;Request referrals and give patient contact, prescription, x-ray, or lab requisitions ensuring process is complete.</li><li><strong>&nbsp;</strong>Provide for patient&rsquo;s comfort, safety and hygiene.</li><li>Identify all patients using two indicators (name and date of birth) prior to administering care. &nbsp;</li><li>Ensure patient care equipment is clean and properly stored.</li><li>Inventory stock in each department and order supplies weekly with the supervision and approval of the nurse.&nbsp;</li><li>&nbsp;Clean and stock all treatment rooms daily at the end of each shift.</li><li>Follow universal precautions when administering patient care and adhere to techniques outlined in CAMcare Health Corporation Universal Precaution Policy at all times.</li><li>&nbsp;Disinfect treatment rooms at the end of each shift.</li><li>Prepare charts for all providers for the following day to include labs, x-rays, and ultrasounds.</li><li>Perform venipuncture for routine blood work as indicated.</li><li>Explain procedure to be performed prior to initiating blood draw.</li><li>Seek proper assistance with difficult venipuncture.</li><li>Responsible for the management of inventory and sterilization of all medical equipment.</li><li>Disinfect, wash and wrap instruments for sterilization after each use in accordance with established infection control policy. &nbsp;</li><li>Maintain inventory of supplies necessary, in accordance with established levels indicated.</li><li>Maintain inventory on all instruments, as reflected by inventory logs.</li><li>Coordinate the delivery/receipt of all instruments and equipment sent for sterilization processing as reflected by instrument log, and availability of needed instruments and equipment.</li><li><strong>&nbsp;</strong>Maintain and stock all equipment.</li><li>&nbsp;Maintain appropriate paperwork for inventory control and reviews orders received for completeness.</li><li>Participate in staff development and educational programs.</li><li>Maintain CPR certification as evidenced by valid card.</li><li>Attend all mandatory in-service sessions.</li><li>&nbsp;Attend continuing education and collaborative meetings.</li><li>Orient and trains staff as observed by nursing supervisor.</li><li>Develop and maintains good human relations skills.</li><li>Display a respectful, caring attitude toward patients at all times.</li><li>Accept constructive criticism as demonstrated by positive behavior changes.</li><li>Introduce self by name to patient/significant others throughout appointment as evidenced by feedback from patients, and as observed.</li><li>Report all necessary information and/or unusual occurrences in accordance with established policies and procedures and notifies nursing supervisor of unusual occurrences as they develop.</li><li>Complete incident reports immediately in all required situations.</li><li>Report action of others which have negative impact on patient care.</li><li>Promote and delivers optimum satisfaction to all patients.</li><li>Perform other related duties as assigned.</li></ol><p><strong>What you will bring:</strong></p><ul type=\"disc\"><li>A passion for helping patients.</li><li>Graduate from an accredited medical assistant/medical technologist program.</li><li>Registration or Certification as Medical Assistant is required with in 90 days of hire date.</li><li>Bilingual English/Spanish is preferred.</li><li>Must be computer literate.</li><li>Excellent people skills.</li><li>Flexible in schedule to meet the needs of the organization and hours of operation.</li><li><strong style=\"font-weight: bold;\">Rotation of sites and weekend shifts required as&nbsp;</strong><strong>assigned.</strong></li></ul></div></div></div></div></div></div></div></div></div></div></div>\n<br/>Schedule:  <br/>Up to 20 hours per week<br/>PRN/as needed based on the center needs<br/>Flexibility required, including occasional evenings or Saturdays<br/>PRN / Part-Time basis (up to 20 hours per week)",
