Overview The person in this position will provide technical skills in the construction, installation, operation, testing and maintenance of electrical control equipment, computer systems and related equipment. The Electrician installs, maintains and repairs mill electrical systems and equipment. This person will be expected to comply with safety guidelines, policies and procedures of the company. Restoring equipment to proper working order in a timely manner. Correcting any electrical safety problems or potential problems. Installing electrical equipment to NEC standards. Calibrating and testing electrical equipment to ensure reliable and safe operation. Install, troubleshoot, and repair lighting systems. Install, troubleshoot, and repair electric solenoid valves and pumps. Install, troubleshoot, and repair electrical sensors and mounts. Install, troubleshoot, and repair electric motors and switch gear. Working from a ladder as required. Perform preventative maintenance and maintain appropriate checklist. Assisting other maintenance personnel as required. Assisting machine operators in determining cause of problems and malfunctions. Perform preventative maintenance and maintain appropriate checklist. Qualifications EXPERIENCE OR TRAINING REQUIRED : LICENSE OR CERTIFICATE REQUIRED: Oregon General Journeyman Card Required with a minimum of a P.J. License Manufacturing Plant Journeyman License PREFFERED SKILLS: 8000 hours experience and related training as required for licensing is necessary. The Electrician must have a minimum of a Manufacturing Plant Journeyman License. Mill Experience preferred or equivalent work experience. Knowledge of national electrical code standards and other associated regulatory guidelines. PLC/Controls Experience More About Us Hampton took over management of the Warrenton plant in 2010, however, this site has had a sawmill on it since 1921. We currently employ 140 people, some of which have worked here for over 30 years while others have just started their careers. This creates an incredible team of skilled problem-solvers who work together to continuously improve in all areas within the plant-site.
