    "description": "<p>Orchid Development operates as a division within the Flowers Group of Companies. It is responsible for managing various rental properties, including Cricket Square, Flowers Apartments, Middle Ground Apartments, Eucalyptus Building, and Orchid Village.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>We are seeking a Maintenance Technician with in-depth knowledge of maintenance procedures, electrical systems, heating and ventilation systems, plumbing, and equipment installation. The ideal candidate will have strong problem-solving skills, work in an organized manner, and demonstrate effective communication.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">General duties &amp; responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:</span></p>\n<p> </p>\n<ul>\n<li>Inspect buildings, equipment, and systems to identify issues</li>\n<li>Repair faulty equipment units and damaged structures</li>\n<li>Assist in the development in maintenance procedures</li>\n<li>Assist with heating and plumbing systems to guarantee functionality</li>\n<li>Plan and schedule repairs</li>\n<li>Conduct periodic quality checks on equipment and systems for conformity</li>\n<li>Perform general maintenance tasks, including landscaping, painting, and carpentry</li>\n<li>Assist in maintaining inventory records for equipment and supplies</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p> <span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Specific requirements:</span></p>\n<p> </p>\n<ul>\n<li>A diploma in a trade from a recognized vocational school</li>\n<li>3-5 years’ experience with working knowledge in electrical and mechanical systems</li>\n<li>Ability to determine the kind of tools and equipment needed to do a job and to monitor gauges, dials, or other indicators to make sure a machine is working properly.</li>\n<li>Attention to Detail — Job requires being careful about detail and thorough in completing work tasks.</li>\n<li>Dependability — Job requires being reliable, responsible, and dependable, and fulfilling obligations.</li>\n<li>Initiative — Job requires a willingness to take on responsibilities and challenges.</li>\n<li>Cooperation — Job requires being pleasant with others on the job and displaying a good-natured, cooperative attitude.</li>\n<li>Integrity — Job requires being honest and ethical.</li>\n<li>Physically capable and available to work overtime, including weekends, public holidays, and evenings</li>\n</ul>",
