    "description": "<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">S<span style=\"font-family: Inter, sans-serif\">ince 1985, Albuquerque Health Care for the Homeless has dedicated its mission exclusively to providing services to people experiencing homelessness. AHCH provides a distinctive continuum of integrated care through outreach and site-based services to address the health-related causes and consequences of homelessness. Our vision is to live in a world that is just and without homelessness.  We believe that homelessness is an issue that can be solved through access to quality health care, adequate and affordable housing, and a living wage.</span></span><br></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">We are looking for a dynamic candidate to run our ArtStreet program.  Our ideal candidate would be an experienced art therapist who has a passion for working with the underserved.  We are looking for someone who is well versed in running group therapy as well as working in open access therapeutic environments.  Our ideal candidate would be comfortable working with a diverse population and working both independently as well as on integrated teams.  The candidate would be comfortable working both in our art studio and in outreach settings.</span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p>The ArtStreet Program Coordinator is responsible for managing and coordinating all aspects of community-based open art studio including oversite of staff, student interns, and volunteers. This position will also conduct group and individual Art Therapy sessions within AHCH’s behavioral health program.</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Duties and Responsibilities:</span><br></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Provides closed art therapy groups, individual art and behavioral health interventions within the art studio setting.</li>\n<li>May develop and conduct art-based activities on outreach within the Bernalillo County service area.</li>\n<li>Monitor day-to-day operations of the ArtStreet program including the work, activities, and scheduling of the ArtStreet team.</li>\n<li>Provide coaching and professional development to ArtStreet team including conducting regular performance reviews.</li>\n<li>Coordinate the program’s reporting systems to ensure reports, statistical information, and program evaluation activities are implemented in an accurate and timely manner.</li>\n<li>Assist in the development of ArtStreet artists toward their professional art goals.</li>\n<li>Represent AHCH in meetings with donors, funders, local community organizations, and other group forums.</li>\n<li>Facilitate monthly ArtStreet Advisory Council meetings and ensure artists are represented in larger AHCH forums, including Board of Directors.</li>\n<li>Network with community artists and galleries to promote ArtStreet artists and open pathways to show their work.</li>\n<li>Will participate in installation and take-down of art shows by ArtStreet artists and will participate in sales of ArtStreet at a variety of venues.</li>\n<li>Will monitor all electronic/mechanical tools and supplies in the ArtStreet studio including kilns, power tools, and sewing machines to ensure safe operation.</li>\n<li>Work with Facilities Manager to ensure OSHA compliance in the ArtStreet studio.</li>\n<li>Will attend Manager/Coordinators meetings.</li>\n<li>Must comply with all AHCH policies and procedures.</li>\n<li>Maintain appropriate license and board requirements.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Minimum Qualifications:</span><br></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Ability to thrive in a complex non-profit healthcare setting.</li>\n<li>Ability to work with peers to lead change, high performance, and innovation.</li>\n<li>Comfort in facilitating community artmaking and experience with diverse art materials.</li>\n<li>Knowledge of the therapeutic use of a broad range of art materials and their impact on behaviors.</li>\n<li>Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills.</li>\n<li>Ability to make art with diverse groups of individuals.</li>\n<li>Master’s degree in Social Work, Counseling, or Psychology.</li>\n<li>3 years of experience working in arts organization and/or social services/behavioral health field.</li>\n<li>Must have experience using art as a treatment modality.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Preferred Qualifications:</span><br></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Master’s degree in Art Therapy</li>\n<li>Licensed to practice in the state of New Mexico with one of the following licenses: LCSW, LMSW, LPCC, LMHC, LMFT, or LPAT</li>\n<li>Experience working with people experiencing chronic mental illness and/or substance use.</li>\n<li>Experience in program design and development.</li>\n<li>Experience working with underserved populations.</li>\n<li>Bilingual Spanish/English</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span>All benefits start the month after you begin work:</span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span>Low cost medical, vision, and dental insurance with health club membership</span></li>\n<li><span>Life insurance and Accidental Death and Dismemberment fully paid for by organization</span></li>\n<li><span>Long Term Disability fully paid for by organization</span></li>\n<li><span>Paid Time Off - 24 days in first year of employment</span></li>\n<li><span>Catastrophic Sick Time accrual</span></li>\n<li><span>7 Paid holidays</span></li>\n<li><span>Health Care and Dependent Care Flexible Spending Accounts</span></li>\n<li><span>401k with employer match</span></li>\n<li><span>Student loan forgiveness eligible </span><br></li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><em>We're an equal opportunity employer.
