    "description": "<p><span style=\"font-family: 'book antiqua', palatino\">We are seeking an experienced <span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Electronic Security Systems Technician</span> to join our federal team supporting the <span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Fort Sam Houston / Camp Bullis</span> in <span style=\"font-weight: bold\">San Antonio, TX</span>. This role may help support some other bases in the nearby region as well, at times. Our team here is responsible for the maintenance, service, and sustainment of the Electronic Security Systems across the bases, primarily working with Lenel and Milestone systems.</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: 'book antiqua', palatino\"> </span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: 'book antiqua', palatino\">At Johnson Controls, we support our nation’s most critical facilities, the people who occupy them, and the missions they enable. We help modernize U.S. military installations, the Department of Defense, and other federal agency facilities to be more innovative, more resilient, efficient, sustainable, and secure.</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: 'book antiqua', palatino\"> </span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: 'book antiqua', palatino\"><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Location:</span> <span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Fort Sam Houston / Camp Bullis</span>. May help support some other bases in the area at times, but primary work is at Fort Sam Houston.</span><br><span style=\"font-family: 'book antiqua', palatino\"><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Schedule:</span> Primarily day shift (roughly 8:00am – 4:00pm), Monday-Friday. </span><br><span style=\"font-family: 'book antiqua', palatino\"><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Pay Range:</span> $28.00 - $38.00 per hour. Negotiable based on experience.</span><br><span style=\"font-family: 'book antiqua', palatino\"><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Benefits: </span>Eligible for benefits on the first day of employment</span><br><span style=\"font-family: 'book antiqua', palatino\"><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Vacation:</span> 3 weeks of paid vacation, 5 sick days, 3 floating holidays, and 10 standard holidays per calendar year (6.5 weeks in total).</span><br><span style=\"font-family: 'book antiqua', palatino\"><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Travel: </span>10-20%, mostly local travel</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: 'book antiqua', palatino\"> </span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: 'book antiqua', palatino\">As a <span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Security Technician</span>, you will:</span><br><br></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: 'book antiqua', palatino\"> Conduct maintenance and service work of existing Electronic Security Systems (ESS) to include, but not limited to, access controls, intrusion detection, and camera systems. Specific systems primarily include, but not limited to: Lenel and Vindicator systems</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: 'book antiqua', palatino\"> May install security devices and infrastructure at times per the installation plan, according to the National Electrical Code, company, and customer guidelines</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: 'book antiqua', palatino\"> Assist with security system programming and setup.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: 'book antiqua', palatino\"> Conducts testing to ensure proper operation of equipment after installation or repairs</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: 'book antiqua', palatino\">Conducts testing of the system at the signal-receiving center to properly establish service.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: 'book antiqua', palatino\"> Coordinates installations with police/fire departments and handles necessary records for notification of emergency calls.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: 'book antiqua', palatino\"> May help prepare estimates per prescribed instructions or directions from the supervisor</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: 'book antiqua', palatino\"> Conduct End-User training.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: 'book antiqua', palatino\"> Works safely and responsibly to avoid injuries, damage to property, loss of unused materials, and cleans up installation debris.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: 'book antiqua', palatino\"> Performs other duties as required</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><br><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: 'book antiqua', palatino; font-weight: bold\">Required Qualifications:</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: 'book antiqua', palatino\"> Experience installing, inspecting, troubleshooting, and repairing commercial and/or industrial integrated/electronic security systems for complex low voltage intrusion, access control, CCTV, and digital recording systems.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: 'book antiqua', palatino\"> Ability to read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, submittals, specifications, software/systems programs, schematics, and operational product manuals.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: 'book antiqua', palatino\"> Ability to communicate effectively, orally and in writing, while establishing and maintaining cooperative working relationships.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: 'book antiqua', palatino\"> Capable of using hand and power tools to mount and secure equipment properly</span>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: 'book antiqua', palatino\">Ability to climb ladders and work at heights</span></li>\n</ul>\n</li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: 'book antiqua', palatino\"> Works well unsupervised and as part of a team environment</span>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: 'book antiqua', palatino\">High School diploma or equivalent</span></li>\n</ul>\n</li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: 'book antiqua', palatino\">Department of Defense Secret clearance (or one that was active within the last 2 years).</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: 'book antiqua', palatino\"> </span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: 'book antiqua', palatino; font-weight: bold\">Preferred Qualifications:</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: 'book antiqua', palatino\"> Demonstrated proficiency working with Lenel, Vindicator, or Linx Predator Elite</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: 'book antiqua', palatino\"> Technical proficiency working with fiber and networks</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: 'book antiqua', palatino\">  Proficiency working with a variety of commercial and/or industrial camera systems, preferably with Lenel, Advantor, and others.</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: 'book antiqua', palatino\"> </span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: 'book antiqua', palatino; font-weight: bold\">Preferred Education:</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: 'book antiqua', palatino\"> Lenel certified</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: 'book antiqua', palatino\"> </span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: 'book antiqua', palatino; font-size: 12pt\"> </span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: 'book antiqua', palatino; font-size: 12pt; font-weight: bold\">Who We Are</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"color: windowtext; font-family: 'book antiqua', palatino; font-size: 12pt\">At Johnson Controls (NYSE:JCI), we are One Team working collaboratively to create purposeful solutions that make a difference in the world.
