Help patients to complete activities of daily living that are difficult for them because of a physical or mental disability.</span><br></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">*This role is suited for workers looking to be assigned under a specific client or patient of their choice*</span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span>Job Responsibilities:</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span>Planning, preparation and clean–up of meals </span></li>\n<li><span>Making beds and changing linens with the participants in or out of bed as required</span></li>\n<li><span>Brushing, combing, and shampooing hair</span></li>\n<li><span>Giving bed baths or assist with shower or tub bath </span></li>\n<li><span>Assist with oral care such as brushing teeth or denture care when participant is unable.</span></li>\n<li><span>Giving assistance to and from the bed to a wheelchair, walker or chair when a participant is weight bearing.</span></li>\n<li><span>Assisting the participants with ordinarily self-administered medications (open bottles, get water)</span></li>\n<li><span>Tidying and dusting the home. </span></li>\n<li><span>Cleaning kitchen counters, cupboards, and appliances, including oven, surface burners and fridge</span></li>\n<li><span>Laundering clothes and linens. </span></li>\n<li><span>Making beds and changing sheets. </span></li>\n<li><span>Sweeping and/or vacuuming and mopping floors. </span></li>\n<li><span>Bagging trash inside the home and putting it out for pick-up. </span></li>\n<li><span>Shopping for essential items (e.g., groceries, cleaning supplies, etc.). </span><br><br><br></li>\n</ul>\n<p><span>Skills/Education</span><span>: CDS ATTENDNANT must be 18 years of age. A minimum of one year experience of direct patient care personally, Skilled Nursing facility or an In-Home Care Agency. </span></p>\n<p><br></p>",
