    "requisitionDescription": "<div><div><p data-pasted=\"true\"><br></p><p><strong>Position Title:</strong> Heavy Equipment Operator (Seasonal)<br><strong>Reports To</strong>: Lead Facilities Supervisor<br><strong>Category:</strong> Seasonal, Non-Exempt<br><strong>Salary Range:</strong>&nbsp;$21.00 per hour</p><p><br></p><p><strong>Position Summary</strong></p><p>The Heavy Equipment Operator supports Facilities operations at Icy Strait Point by safely operating a variety of heavy equipment and assisting with general site maintenance, logistics, and infrastructure support. This role is essential to maintaining a safe, clean, and efficient environment for guests and employees during the operating season.</p><p><br></p><p><strong>Essential Duties and Responsibilities</strong></p><ul type=\"disc\"><li>Operate heavy equipment including excavators, forklifts, dump trucks, graders, bobcats, work skiffs, and porta potty service trucks</li><li>Conduct pre-operation inspections of all equipment to ensure safe and proper functioning</li><li>Coordinate with the Fleet and Parts Coordinator to submit and track maintenance work orders through Fleetio</li><li>Assist with landscaping and site improvement projects across ISP</li><li>Support freight pick-up and delivery needs for all departments</li><li>Service and maintain porta potties, including operating the porta potty truck</li><li>Assist with site security needs as required</li><li>Perform general maintenance and upkeep of ISP facilities, including tents, gutters, trash receptacles, site houses, and portable restrooms</li><li>Maintain public areas including doors, lighting, sinks, windows, bathrooms, and other guest-facing infrastructure</li><li>Respond to maintenance requests in a timely and professional manner</li><li>Support overall Facilities team operations and other duties as assigned</li></ul><p><br></p><p><strong>Physical Requirements &amp; Work Environment</strong></p><ul type=\"disc\"><li>Ability to operate heavy machinery in a variety of weather conditions, including rain and uneven terrain</li><li>Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds regularly</li><li>Frequent standing, walking, bending, and climbing</li><li>Work performed outdoors in a dynamic, fast-paced tourism environment</li></ul><p><br></p><p><strong>Qualifications</strong></p><ul type=\"disc\"><li>Experience operating heavy equipment such as excavators, forklifts, and similar machinery required</li><li>Valid driver&rsquo;s license required; CDL preferred</li><li>CPR/First Aid Certification required or ability to obtain upon hire</li><li>Familiarity with equipment maintenance and inspection practices</li><li>Strong safety awareness and adherence to operational protocols</li><li>Ability to work independently and as part of a team</li><li>Strong work ethic and reliability in a seasonal, high-demand environment</li></ul><p><br></p><p>Icy Strait Point is a Native-owned and operated enterprise and offers Native Preference under P.O. 93-638.
