This role is essential to maintaining a Safe and Nutritious Food Environment for patients and staff. This is a great opportunity for someone who takes pride in their work and wants to contribute to patient care behind the scenes in a healthcare setting. About Sheridan Community Hospital Sheridan Community Hospital is a critical access hospital committed to delivering compassionate, high-quality care close to home. Our Nutrition Services team plays a vital role in our facility. Nutrition Services Cook and Aide Responsibilities Taking orders, preparing food & delivering trays. Ensuring patients are given the correct food allowed on diets. Taking temperatures on food and cooling units required. Following guidelines so that department is inspection ready at all times. Taking care of stock when needed following FIFO Discard leftovers, check for outdated food, and take out garbage. Making sure Sanitation is done as required. Participate in quality improvement projects. Attend training and meetings as required Maintains awareness of current quality and safety measures on the unit and follows guidelines or reporting measures to ensure safety of patients, visitors, and staff. Knowledge and skills in quality improvement and research methodologies. Performs other related duties as assigned.
