    "description": "<h2>Overview</h2>\n<p><strong>We are designing the grid of the future!  </strong></p>\n<p>As a Principal Conventional Thermal Generation Engineer at EPE, you will lead the design and integration of electrical systems for conventional thermal assets—gas turbines, reciprocating (RICE) engine-generator sets, and their balance of plant (BOP). You’ll deliver high-quality consulting services for simple/combined-cycle, cogeneration (CHP), and reciprocating engine plants while advancing EPE’s internal knowledge base and best practices.</p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<p><strong>How you can make an impact:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Develop AC Single Line Diagram (SLD), HV – MV design, grounding schemes; HV - MV power distribution design.</li>\n <li>Selecting and specifying appropriate electrical equipment, such as transformers, switchgear, and instrumentation, ensuring they meet project requirements and industry standards.</li>\n <li>Oversee installation, FAT/SAT, start-up, and troubleshooting of electrical systems for turbine and engine plants.</li>\n <li>Ensuring that all electrical work complies with relevant safety regulations and industry standards, such as those from the National Electrical Code (NEC).</li>\n <li>Collaborating with mechanical, control, and other engineers to ensure the smooth integration of electrical systems with other plant components.</li>\n <li>Making sure to complete assigned projects on time while adhering to project quality and budget objectives.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<p><strong>Bring your passion, here's what’s needed:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>B.S. in Electrical Engineering (power systems focus) or Mechanical Engineering. Working knowledge of mechanical/controls aspects of turbines and RICE gensets is a plus</li>\n <li>Professional Engineering License is required</li>\n <li>7+ years of electrical design experience for gas turbine/cogeneration/reciprocating engine power plants.</li>\n <li>7+ years with electrical systems in power generation or industrial facilities.</li>\n <li>Experience with major OEMs (e.g., GE, Siemens, Mitsubishi, Solar Turbines; Wärtsilä, Caterpillar, MAN).</li>\n <li>Experience with simple-cycle, combined-cycle, CHP, and reciprocating engine configurations.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Lead the change!</strong></p>\n<p>Be a part of an innovative team shaping the grid of the future through advanced energy intelligence.
