You will serve as a resource for healthcare professionals through fostering relationships within medical facilities. With clinical expertise and problem-solving skills, you’ll also coordinate care plans with physicians and families. Additionally, you will facilitate patient transfers and address barriers to accessing specialized post-ICU care.</p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<p><strong>What a Clinical Liaison Does</strong></p>\n<p>You’ll be a champion of The Select Medical Way, which includes: putting the patient first, helping to improve quality of life for the community in which you live and work, developing and exploring new ideas, providing high-quality care, and doing well by doing what is right.</p>\n<p><strong> </strong></p>\n<p><strong>Key Responsibilities:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>You will work with physicians, discharge planners, and patients' families to plan the best continuum of care after an ICU or post-surgical stay by utilizing your strong clinical background, payer knowledge, and problem-solving skills.</li>\n <li>Perform clinical assessments of referred patients, then counsel with patients' families to assist them in making the best care decisions for their loved one.</li>\n <li>Partner with hospital case managers and physicians to create a smooth pre-admission and transfer process through removing payer-related and operational barriers for patients getting into our highly effective level of care.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<p><strong>Minimum Qualifications</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Current and valid state licensure or eligibility for state licensure as a Registered Nurse or Respiratory Therapist.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Preferred Experience</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Two years of related experience working in a clinical healthcare setting or previous experience working in a clinical liaison role are preferred.</li>\n <li>Demonstrated competency with the preadmission process, including assessments and relationship building in a rehabilitation setting or in another post-acute care setting, is preferred.</li>\n <li>Proven track record in sales and marketing with a least one year of experience in a related position preferred.</li>\n <li>Demonstrated computer proficiency.</li>\n <li>Must exercise sound judgment in handling the professional/confidential nature of health care sales.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Additional Data</h2>\n<p><strong>Why Join Us:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li><strong>Start Strong:</strong> Extensive orientation program to ensure a smooth transition into our setting.</li>\n <li><strong>Opportunity for Advancement: </strong>Demonstrate your skills and dedication, which could lead to potential full-time opportunities.  </li>\n <li><strong>Part-time & Per Diem</strong> positions are eligible for 401 (k) based on reaching 1,000 hours within their first anniversary or subsequent calendar year.
