WDAY is part of Forum Communications Company, a 5th-generation family-owned media company, and produces over 40 hours of local news, weather, and sports content each week, making them the most watched news station in the state of North Dakota and Western Minnesota.&nbsp;</p><p><br></p><p><br></p><p><strong>Summary</strong></p><p>Produce high quality videos for TV news, social media, and other digital products, and serve as an active partner in the creative development process, as required.&nbsp;</p><p><br></p><p><strong>Essential Functions</strong></p><ul><li>Edit and shoot video with industry software and hardware for news broadcast.</li><li>Occasionally conduct interviews.</li><li>Set up and operate cameras, lighting, microphones, and other equipment.</li><li>Balance creative tendencies with the need for marketable, smart designs.&nbsp;</li><li>Serve as an active role in the creative development process, as required.&nbsp;</li><li>Edit raw footage into finished videos, which may include adding graphics, captions, and special effects.</li></ul><p><strong>Qualifications</strong></p><ul><li>Bachelor's degree in graphic communications, mass communications, or a similar field preferred.</li><li>Experience editing with Premiere Pro, and knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite a plus.</li><li>Understanding of lighting techniques and color correction.</li><li>Strong organizational and multitasking skills.</li><li>Creative thinking with an excellent eye for detail.</li><li>Excellent verbal and written communication skills.</li><li>Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays as necessary.</li><li>Able to design and produce quality work to meet deadlines in a fast paced environment.</li><li>Must possess a valid driver’s license and a driving record that is insurable by the company.&nbsp;</li><li>Must carry an acceptable level of vehicle insurance as required by the company.&nbsp;</li></ul><p>Expected compensation for this role is $15.00 - $19.00/hour, based on qualifications and experience.</p><p><br></p><p>ABOUT THE COMPANY</p><p><strong>Forum Communications Company </strong>is a family-owned media and technology leader with more than a century of delivering trusted, quality journalism and innovative business solutions.
