Head of IT Who We Are Teroxx is an innovative digital asset boutique operating at the intersection of finance and technology. We are a MiCA-Licensed Crypto-Asset Service Provider (CASP) in the EU, focused on creating secure, user-centric, and data-driven digital solutions that empower both private and institutional clients. Our products and services span exchange, advising on crypto-assets, portfolio management, custody, and market analytics — designed to bring transparency, efficiency, and reliability to the rapidly evolving world of digital assets. About the Role We are seeking an experienced and hands-on Head of IT to lead our engineering organization. In this role, you will take ownership of our Frontend, Backend and QA functions: driving technical excellence, delivery reliability, and team growth across our full product suite. You will shape the technical roadmap together with product leadership, ensure our platform meets the high standards of a regulated digital asset environment, and build the engineering culture and processes that allow us to scale. This role is ideal for a technology leader who combines deep technical expertise with strong people leadership and thrives in a fast-moving, regulated fintech environment. The position is fully remote within EU working hours (B2B contracting possible), with occasional travel for team offsites. Your Key Responsibilities Engineering Leadership Lead and develop the Frontend, Backend and QA teams, fostering a culture of ownership, quality, and continuous improvement. Define team structures, processes, and career paths that support both delivery and individual growth. Act as the senior technical voice in the company, advising leadership on technology strategy and investment decisions. Technology & Architecture Own the technical architecture: ideally bring some experience with C# backend, Flutter frontend, and cloud infrastructure on AWS and Vercel. Ensure scalability, performance, security, and maintainability of all systems supporting our exchange, portfolio management, custody, and analytics products. Drive technical decision-making on tooling, frameworks, and infrastructure, balancing innovation with stability. Quality Assurance Own the QA strategy across the platform, including test automation, release quality gates, and incident management. Embed quality standards into the development lifecycle, ensuring robust, secure, and compliant releases. Continuously improve monitoring, observability, and incident response practices. Security & Compliance Ensure our systems and processes meet the security and operational resilience standards expected of a MiCA-licensed CASP. Partner with compliance and legal teams on IT-related regulatory requirements, audits, and risk assessments. Establish and maintain best practices for data protection, access management, and secure development. Stakeholder Collaboration Work closely with product management and design to translate the product roadmap into technical execution. Present technology strategy, delivery status, and key decisions to senior leadership. Serve as the bridge between engineering and the broader organization, ensuring transparency and alignment. Qualifications & Experience Required You are as much skilled in engineering as you are in leadership – preferably in international environments Track record of leading cross-functional engineering teams covering development and QA. Track record of international transformation and integration projects 7+ years of experience in software engineering, with 3+ years in an engineering leadership role (Head of Engineering, Engineering Manager, CTO, or similar). Strong hands-on background in backend development with C# / .NET and solid understanding of modern frontend development, ideally with Flutter. Proven experience designing and operating cloud infrastructure on AWS; familiarity with Vercel is a plus. Track record of leading cross-functional engineering teams covering development and QA. Experience establishing and scaling Agile delivery processes and QA practices. Strong written and verbal communication skills in English — ability to communicate technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Background in tax consultancy, fintech, digital assets, blockchain technology, or other regulated financial environments. Preferred Understanding of security, operational resilience, and compliance requirements in regulated industries (e.g., MiCA, DORA, ISO 27001). Experience with trading platforms, custody solutions, or high-availability financial systems. Experience working with distributed, remote-first engineering teams across multiple time zones and communication cultures .
