Job Purpose: Engineer - Commissioning is responsible for the systematic commissioning of renewable energy systems, focusing on validating and verifying system performance, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring alignment with technical requirements and goals Responsibilities Commissioning Plan Formulation and Project Coordination: Develops and implements detailed commissioning plans for wind, solar, and hybrid projects, ensuring alignment with engineering specifications and regulatory standards. Coordinates with project stakeholders to address all necessary technical aspects and comply with project requirements. Gathers information related to connectivity, LTA/GNA, and project commissioning for efficient execution of upcoming renewable energy projects. System Testing and Performance Validation: Executes rigorous system testing and validation protocols to confirm that all systems meet performance specifications and function correctly under operational conditions. Conducts power performance analysis for wind turbines and ensures the commissioning of turbines as handed over by the project team. Ensures 100% turbine healthiness for continuous operation and addresses any discrepancies to maintain optimal performance. Technical Issue Identification and Rectification: Diagnoses and resolves technical issues encountered during the commissioning phase, applying advanced troubleshooting methods and collaborating with engineering teams to address root causes. Develops and implements effective solutions to technical problems, ensuring all issues are resolved promptly to prevent disruptions. Provides technical training to team members and supports in resolving error fault breakdowns for turbines. Regulatory Compliance and Safety Assurance: Ensures that all commissioning activities adhere to established industry regulations, safety standards, and project specifications, maintaining high levels of quality and compliance throughout the process. Develops a safety culture at sites by ensuring workplace safety and adherence to SOPs, targeting zero accidents and Lost Time Injuries (LTIs). Verifies compliance with safety protocols during construction and operation of EHV and 33KV lines. Documentation and Reporting: Prepares comprehensive documentation and reports on commissioning activities, including test results, performance data, and compliance verification. Maintains detailed records of all commissioning activities, providing essential documentation for ongoing monitoring and regulatory compliance. Prepares and submits site-wise budgets for operational and capital expenditure as per the project timeline. Collaboration and Business Performance Monitoring: Works closely with engineering teams to coordinate commissioning activities and address technical issues that arise, ensuring effective collaboration and problem resolution. Monitors business performance against goals and identifies cost optimization opportunities in running projects. Ensures timely closure of audit points and compliance with management systems, contributing to organizational transformation and change management.
