This is a hands-on roll that requires a passion for animals of all shapes and sizes!&nbsp;</p><p><br></p><p><strong>The role provides the daily care for all animals in our shelter and includes:</strong></p><ul><li>Cleaning, sanitizing, feeding and socializing with our animals.</li><li>In addition to daily animal care tasks, the Animal Care Attendant is considered an essential team member and plays an integral role in the preparation and evacuation of our animals in the event of a Tropical Storm or Hurricane.&nbsp;</li></ul><p><br></p><p><strong>This may be the right job for you if;</strong> <strong>You are great at:</strong></p><ul><li>Demonstrating a strong work ethic with a willingness to stay until the job is completed</li><li>Paying attention to detail and getting the job done right the first time</li><li>Building relationships with both people and animals</li><li>Motivating yourself and your peers</li></ul><p><strong>You are amazing at:</strong></p><ul><li>Adjusting quickly to changing priorities and conditions</li><li>Being Proactive. Identifying ways to ensure the health and well-being of our animals is always our first priority!</li><li>Bringing new ideas and suggestions to the table to improve the work</li><li>Working with animals of all shapes, sizes and temperaments</li></ul><p><strong>Just a couple of other important points: </strong>You should not be allergic to animals or nut products and must be able to work around all animals; you may be potentially subject to animal and insect bites and scratches. Must be able to work with industrial strength cleaners and disinfectants as we have a very strict cleaning protocol. Must be able to lift at least 50 pounds; push and pull heavy objects; bend, twist, reach; perform strenuous physical activities. Must be able to act as a first responder during emergency situations.</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p><strong>Minimum Qualifications (or skills and knowledge):</strong></p><p>• Must be able to pass a criminal background check and pre-employment substance screening</p><p>• Strong interpersonal skills.
