    "description": "<p><span style=\"font-size: 24pt\">Position Summary</span></p>\n<p>The Middle School Cross Country Coach is responsible for leading and developing the middle school’s cross country program in a positive, educational, and competitive environment. The coach will help student-athletes improve their endurance, running technique, sportsmanship, discipline, teamwork, and overall character while supporting the mission and values of the school.</p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 24pt\">Primary Responsibilities</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Plan, organize, and conduct practices, meets, conditioning sessions, and team activities for the middle school cross country team</li>\n<li>Develop training plans appropriate for middle school student-athletes and varying skill levels</li>\n<li>Teach proper running form, conditioning techniques, pacing, stretching, hydration, and race strategies</li>\n<li>Promote sportsmanship, teamwork, discipline, perseverance, and character development among student-athletes</li>\n<li>Supervise student-athletes during practices, meets, travel, and team activities</li>\n<li>Ensure the safety and well-being of all athletes during workouts and competitions</li>\n<li>Communicate effectively with players, parents, administration, officials, and athletic staff</li>\n<li>Maintain team discipline and enforce school and athletic department policies</li>\n<li>Assist with scheduling, equipment management, uniforms, and meet logistics</li>\n<li>Encourage academic achievement and positive behavior among student-athletes</li>\n<li>Attend coaches meetings, athletic events, and professional development opportunities as required</li>\n<li>Represent the school and athletic program in a professional and positive manner</li>\n</ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 24pt\">Qualifications</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Previous coaching, running, or cross country experience preferred</li>\n<li>Knowledge of cross country training principles, conditioning, and race management</li>\n<li>Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills</li>\n<li>Ability to motivate, teach, and mentor middle school student-athletes</li>\n<li>Ability to work collaboratively with school staff, students, and parents</li>\n<li>CPR/First Aid certification preferred (or willingness to obtain)<br></li>\n</ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 24pt\">Time Commitment</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>After-school practices during the cross country season</li>\n<li>Weekly Meets</li>\n<li>Off-season communication and program support as needed</li>\n</ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 24pt\">Desired Characteristics</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Positive role model for students</li>\n<li>Passion for coaching and developing young athletes</li>\n<li>Dependable, energetic, and professional</li>\n<li>Strong commitment to student growth both on and off the course</li>\n</ul>",
