You will be a part of the Clinical Care Team and will engage with our patients to develop lifelong well-being and health.</p>\r\n\r\n<p>&nbsp;</p>\r\n\r\n<p>The right person for this role will delight in providing a great experience to the patient and demonstrate compassion to those experiencing chronic and/or acute pain.</p>\r\n\r\n<p>&nbsp;</p>\r\n\r\n<p><strong>Tasks and Responsibilities:</strong></p>\r\n\r\n<ul>\r\n\t<li>Prepare patients for examination by performing preliminary physical tests; taking blood pressure, weight, temperature; and reporting patient history summary.</li>\r\n\t<li>Confirm with patient medical history</li>\r\n\t<li>Collect lab samples for testing.</li>\r\n\t<li>Provide support to physicians or other licensed providers during examinations.</li>\r\n\t<li>Secures patient information and maintains patient confidence by completing and safeguarding medical records and maintaining strict confidentiality.</li>\r\n\t<li>Counsels patients by transmitting physician&rsquo;s orders and questions about medications or procedures.</li>\r\n\t<li>Act as a patient liaison in coordinating referrals and diagnostic tests on behalf of patients.</li>\r\n\t<li>Update and file medical records and referral notes ensuring information is current and organized.</li>\r\n\t<li>Prepare examination rooms in accordance with biohazard training ensuring cleanliness and readiness for patient visits.</li>\r\n\t<li>Maintains a safe, secure, and healthy work environment by establishing and following standards and procedures and complying with legal regulations.</li>\r\n\t<li>Perform other assignments such as assisting with orientation, clinic opening or closing processes, supply inventory and ordering (linen, medical supplies, medications), data collection, patient calls, and quality improvement and/or problem-solving initiatives.</li>\r\n\t<li>Keeps supplies ready by inventorying stock, advising office manager of orders needed and verifying receipt.</li>\r\n\t<li>Keeps equipment operating by following operating instructions, troubleshooting breakdowns, maintaining supplies, performing preventive maintenance, and calling for repairs.</li>\r\n\t<li>Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities and training.</li>\r\n\t<li>Serves and protects the practice by adhering to professional standards, company policies and procedures; and federal, state, and local regulations and requirements.</li>\r\n\t<li>Enhances practice reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests and exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.</li>\r\n\t<li>Works amicably with others.</li>\r\n\t<li>Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.</li>\r\n</ul>\r\n\r\n<p>&nbsp;</p>\r\n\r\n<p><strong>PartnerCare offers competitive compensation, superior benefits (medical, dental, vision, 401(k), life/disability insurance), and so much more.</strong></p>\r\n\r\n<p><strong>Education and Experience:</strong></p>\r\n\r\n<ul>\r\n\t<li>High school diploma</li>\r\n\t<li>Certificate of completion of a Medical Assistants/ Aides course (Preferred)</li>\r\n\t<li>Current&nbsp;CPR/BLS certification</li>\r\n\t<li><strong>Two or more years of medical assissting&nbsp;experience required&nbsp; .&nbsp; &nbsp;</strong>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;</li>\r\n\t<li>Experience with EMR (electronic medical records), preferably ECW</li>\r\n\t<li>Cover My Meds Program Preferred.</li>\r\n</ul>\r\n\r\n<p><strong>About the Practice:</strong>&nbsp;</p>\r\n\r\n<p>MidSouth Pain Treatment Center (MPTC) was founded in 2000, with the goal of addressing the lack of treatment options for pain-related medical issues in rural areas.
