    "description": "<h2>Overview</h2>\n<p>Responsible for the overall planning, organizing, directing, coordinating and evaluating of the Medical Records Department. Prepares the annual budget. Ensures quality of data processed and compliance with all regulatory standards. Serves as a liaison between Medical Records operations and other medical and administrative staff and outside agencies as necessary.</p>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<p><strong>Education required:</strong> Completion of an AHIMA accredited program in Medical Records Management. Associates degree. </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Education preferred:</strong> Bachelors degree</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>License, Certification and/or Registration:</strong> ART, RRA</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Experience</strong>: Documented experience with coding, abstracting, medical record processing, chart completion, word processing, and spreadsheet software products. Demonstrated leadership abilities; minimum 3 years management experience in a hospital setting.</p>\n<h2>About Us</h2>\n<p><strong>DeKalb Regional Medical Center</strong> celebrated its 35th anniversary in October 2021. DeKalb Regional and its physicians serve patients from throughout Northeast Alabama and Western Georgia. </p>\n<p>DeKalb Regional is committed to providing quality care close to home. The hospital is accredited by The Joint Commission and the American College of Cardiology as a Primary Stroke Center and Chest Pain Center. It was also awarded the 2023 Get with the Guidelines Rural Stroke Bronze Quality Award from the American Heart Association. In fall of 2023, DeKalb Regional was one of seven hospitals in Alabama to receive an “A” grade from The Leapfrog Group. </p>\n<p>DeKalb Regional Medical Center has 500 employees and more than 100 members of the medical staff.</p>",
