Description The college is seeking part time seasonal Physical Plant maintenance staff for May 2026 through August 2026. High school and college students are encouraged to apply, minimum 18 years of age. Terms of Employment Typical hours of work are M-F and may vary depending on department needs. Dates of employment are flexible to accommodate potential student workers for the spring and fall semester dates. QUALIFICATIONS Must have and maintain a valid driver's license Must be at least 18 years of age Experience or willingness to perform construction, maintenance, manual outdoor labor encouraged Must be able to work from a lift, scaffold, or ladder Must carry and lift 75lbs. Must walk, climb stairs, stand, bend, and squat. Must work in all outdoor seasonal conditions. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBLITIES Tasks may include, but are not limited to, carpentry, road repair, painting, grounds work, pressure washing, moving heavy materials, assisting trade professionals, etc. moving heavy materials, assisting trade professionals, etc. Perform general maintenance and all other duties on campus facilities and property as assigned by the Assistant Director of Construction and Maintenance. REQUIRED, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES: Attention to detail and commitment to quality work. Strong interpersonal skills to interact tactfully and courteously with students, faculty, staff, and the public. Ability to collaborate with others and work effectively as part of a team. PHYSICAL DEAMANDS AND WORK CONDITIONS: Work is primarily performed outdoors in all weather conditions, including extreme heat, cold, rain, and wind. Regular exposure to dust, pollen, and other outdoor air quality factors. Must be able to work from a lift, scaffold, or ladder Must carry and lift 75lbs. Must walk, climb stairs, stand, bend, and squat. Frequent physical activity including walking long distances, standing for extended periods, bending, squatting, digging, lifting, and carrying heavy objects (up to 50 pounds). Regular use of power tools and lawn maintenance equipment. May be required to assist with lawn care at other college locations.
