This role is ideal for a candidate who is passionate about helping students develop essential communication skills that support academic success and social-emotional growth.</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p>The SLPA works directly with students to implement individualized therapy plans, provide targeted interventions, and assist in progress monitoring. This position plays a key role in supporting students with a variety of communication needs, including language development, articulation, and social communication.</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 18pt\"><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Key Responsibilities</span></span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Implement speech and language therapy plans developed by the supervising SLP</li>\n<li>Provide direct services to students individually and in small groups</li>\n<li>Assist with speech and language screenings, assessments, and data collection</li>\n<li>Maintain accurate and timely documentation, including session notes, attendance, and progress monitoring data</li>\n<li>Collaborate with teachers, parents, and school staff to support student progress and carryover of skills</li>\n<li>Support students with expressive/receptive language needs, pragmatic language development, articulation, and phonemic awareness</li>\n<li>Assist in identifying students who may benefit from speech and language interventions</li>\n<li>Participate in meetings as appropriate, including IEP, MTSS, and intervention planning meetings</li>\n<li>Adhere to all professional, ethical, and confidentiality standards</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 18pt\"><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Qualifications</span></span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Completion of an accredited Speech-Language Pathology Assistant program</li>\n<li>Current SLPA licensure or certification (in accordance with state requirements)</li>\n<li>Experience working with children or students in an educational or clinical setting preferred</li>\n<li>Strong communication, organization, and interpersonal skills</li>\n<li>Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 18pt\"><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Preferred Skills &amp; Attributes</span></span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Familiarity with literacy interventions and phonemic awareness strategies</li>\n<li>Experience with progress monitoring tools and data collection systems</li>\n<li>Knowledge of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and MTSS frameworks</li>\n<li>Ability to build strong, positive relationships with students and staff</li>\n<li>Flexible, proactive, and student-centered approach</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 18pt\"><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Why Join Us</span></span></p>\n<p>At The Vanguard School, we are committed to supporting the whole child through academically rigorous and content-rich programming.
