Our Inclusion, Diversity, Engagement, Access and Leadership (IDEAL) commitment is rooted in these values, which lead to a culture where employees are engaged and feel good about coming to work every day.</p>\n<h2></h2>\n<p><strong>Summary</strong></p>\n<p>The Production Lead directly oversees production for assigned area or department, includinge inspections and any required documentation as directed by the Foreman or Production Manager.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Duties and Responsibilities</strong></p>\n<p><em>To perform this job successfully an individual must be able to perform the following essential duties satisfactorily. Other duties may be assigned to address business needs and changing business practices.</em></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Provides direction and assistance to production personnel and supervises assigned work force crew, providing training and guidance.</li>\n <li>Ensures personnel have applicable tools, and procedures, to complete required tasks being performed.</li>\n <li>Monitors and evaluates employee performance, and ensures personnel sign off work orders as line items are completed.</li>\n <li>Signs off on completed work orders and notifies Foreman or Production Manager when work is completed.</li>\n <li>Performs in process inspections, writes up and supervises any additional repairs.</li>\n <li>Ensures work is being performed in accordance with all applicable Association of American Railroads, The Greenbrier Companies, and customer procedures.</li>\n <li>Ensures all applicable regulatory and statutory requirements are followed.</li>\n <li>Ensures all EHS rules are followed and maintains work area in clean and orderly condition and maintains a safe work environment through awareness of surroundings and potential hazards.</li>\n <li>Promotes and exhibits an attitude of teamwork with all employees.</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Qualifications</strong></p>\n<p><em>The following generally describes requirements to successfully perform the assigned duties.</em></p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Minimum Qualifications</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Ability to accommodate on-call responsibilities and work overtime when needed.</li>\n <li>Ability to drive results through information and team performance.</li>\n <li>Ability to organize and prioritize multiple tasks with attention to details.</li>\n <li>Ability to follow oral and written instructions including basic blueprints and schematics.</li>\n <li>Ability to collaborate and communicate professionally, both verbally and in writing, at all levels of the organization.  </li>\n <li>Ability to write clearly and concisely.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Preferred Qualifications</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>High School Diploma or equivalent.</li>\n <li>1 + year(s) work related experience in manufacturing.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Work Environment and Physical Requirements</strong></p>\n<p><strong>Work Environment</strong></p>\n<p><em>The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.
