    "description": "<h2>Description</h2>\n<p>Markon is seeking a System Administrator Level 2 to support the Fort Meade Customer. This role will support the Customer by deploying, managing, and scaling containerized applications and supporting infrastructure in a secure, mission-critical environment. This position will play a key role in maintaining Kubernetes-based platforms and ensuring high availability, performance, and operational reliability.</p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Deploy, manage, and scale applications and infrastructure supporting the DEFSMAC mission.</li>\n <li>Administer and maintain RKE2/Kubernetes cluster environments.</li>\n <li>Manage and support containerized applications using Docker.</li>\n <li>Perform system administration tasks within Unix/Linux environments, including troubleshooting and performance tuning.</li>\n <li>Develop and maintain automation scripts using Bash.</li>\n <li>Monitor system health, availability, and performance across containerized environments.</li>\n <li>Troubleshoot infrastructure and application-level issues across compute, storage, and networking layers.</li>\n <li>Support configuration management, system updates, and security compliance efforts.</li>\n <li>Collaborate with engineering and operations teams to support continuous integration and deployment workflows.</li>\n <li>Maintain documentation for system configurations, procedures, and operational support.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<p><strong>Required Qualifications</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Active TS/SCI w/ Polygraph with this Customer. </li>\n <li>Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline plus 10 years of relevant experience,OR 15 years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree.</li>\n <li>Hands-on experience with RKE2 and Kubernetes administration.</li>\n <li>Experience with Docker and containerized environments.</li>\n <li>Strong experience administering Unix/Linux systems.</li>\n <li>Proficiency in Bash scripting.</li>\n <li>Experience deploying and managing scalable infrastructure in mission-focused environments.</li>\n <li>Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Salary Range</h2>USD $150,000.00 - USD $160,000.00 /Yr.The Markon pay range for this position is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary.
