    "description": "<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Job Title: </span>Childcare Provider<br><br><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Accountable</span><span style=\"font-weight: bold\"> to: </span>Danielle Gross</p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Scheduled Hours: </span>Varies, up to 6 hours per week</p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Salary:</span> $17.13 per hour</p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Benefits Eligible: </span>No</p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Job Titles Supervised: </span>None</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">VALUES</span></p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>At VRL we make disciples who make disciple-makers for Jesus.  As VRL staff you are a critical part of that process.  Your job will be tied to the values that help us to become and make disciples of Jesus as we:</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Abide in Christ</p>\n<p>Create a Relational Culture</p>\n<p>Connect the Unconnected</p>\n<p>Equip Volunteers to Serve</p>\n<p>Share Christ with Others</p>\n<p>Strive to Make it Better  </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Provide loving, high-quality childcare for infants through elementary age children while their parents are engaged in transformational Christian classes and small groups at VRL.</li>\n<li>Responsible for ministering to all the children in the classroom.</li>\n<li>Engage with children at their level of play and are encouraged to seek out those children who are having a tough time adjusting to the classroom.</li>\n<li>Implement strategies to connect and communicate with parents that supports them in the discipleship of their children.</li>\n<li>Look for opportunities to pray with the children on a regular basis as well as speak into their life.</li>\n<li>Assist in the general flow of the classroom. Could Include: Teaching a lesson, preparing a snack, craft, clean and stock rooms etc.</li>\n<li>May change diapers and assist with potty training.</li>\n<li>Check children in and check out according to established policy and procedures.</li>\n<li>We value ministering to each child and their parents as they drop children off and pick them up. Our desire is to take ground for Jesus and share His love with those we meet.</li>\n<li>Customer service is a priority. We want to show Christ’s love to each family and make them feel warm and welcome. Respond promptly to requests for assistance. Make eye contact, smile and be approachable.  </li>\n<li>Keep work area clean and orderly and minimize personal property within eye site and reach of the children and families we serve.</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">QUALIFICIATIONS, REQUIRED SKILLS &amp; COMPETENCIES<br></span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Must be at least 18 years old to apply.</li>\n<li>Experience in caring for children.</li>\n<li>Strong interpersonal skills.</li>\n<li>Able to establish and maintain appropriate standards for the accomplishment of ministry in a way that honors both God and people.</li>\n<li>Personal initiative and diligence, which produces follow-through in tasks.</li>\n<li>A willingness to grow and adapt to the inevitable changes found in a local church.</li>\n<li>A willingness to work a flexible work schedule in addition to seasonal all-staff events. <br> </li>\n</ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">EXPECTATIONS</span><br></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Attend VRL church services on a regular basis.</li>\n<li>Have attended a DNA class.</li>\n<li>Be in a life group on a regular basis.</li>\n<li>Be on a journey regarding giving and baptism.</li>\n<li>Abiding in Christ and continuing to grow toward Christlikeness and spiritual maturity.</li>\n<li>Strong interpersonal skills, clear communicator and humble-like character.</li>\n<li>Self-motivated and looks for additional areas to contribute.</li>\n<li>Ability to multi-task and pay attention to detail.</li>\n<li>Ability to make adjustments in work style for the benefit of the team.</li>\n<li>Must be able to work a flexible schedule as there are seasons of irregular work hours based on memorial services, events, classes and other church activities.</li>\n<li>Work in close association with the entire staff to build and maintain a strong team environment among our staff and complete the work necessary to fully serve and support the ministries and events of Valley Real Life.</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Due to the limited hours and temporary nature of this position, no benefits outside of Washington State and Federal required benefits are provided. </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>In accordance with state regulations, we disclose the complete salary range and benefits eligibility for each role.
