Individuals will have a strong understanding of electrical code, schematics, industrial specifications, and use of common electrician tools. The facility operates 24 hours per day 5-6 days per week.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Essential Functions/Responsibilities:</strong></p>\n<p> </p>\n<ul>\n <li>Work with assigned production and maintenance employees to complete troubleshooting or repairs based on maintenance work orders and inventory. </li>\n <li>May work with materials and production to complete assigned projects and improvements. </li>\n <li>Troubleshoot electrical, computer, mechanical, and pneumatic equipment/systems commonly used in industrial manufacturing applications. </li>\n <li>Understand and follow electrical code, manuals, schematic diagrams, blueprints, and other specifications using hand tools, power tools, and electrical test equipment.</li>\n <li>Disassembles, repairs/replaces parts and maintains machinery and mechanical equipment, such as motors, pumps, conveyors, belts, fans, etc.</li>\n <li>Cleans, lubricates & adjusts functional parts of mechanical devices as necessary.</li>\n <li>Major electrical repairs including 24VDC, and 120VAC Control Systems, 3-phase systems up to 480V, PLC’s, VFD’s.</li>\n <li>AC and DC drives, instrumentation, and hydraulic/pneumatic controls.</li>\n <li>Industrial temperature control systems, including thermocouples, temperature controllers, solid state relays, and heating elements. </li>\n <li>New installations of equipment, replace and test electrical circuits.</li>\n <li>Isolates defects in wiring, switches, motors, and other electrical equipment using test instruments such as ammeter, ohmmeter, voltmeter, testing lamp, or megger.</li>\n <li>Replaces faulty switches, sockets, and other elements of electrical systems.</li>\n <li>Removes and replaces electrical transformers & lighting fixtures as needed.</li>\n <li>Performs all work in accordance with established safety procedures, including lock-out/tag-out.</li>\n <li>Communicates problems encountered throughout the shift to the Production Supervisor, Maintenance Lead or Maintenance Manager.</li>\n <li>Operates any equipment needed to perform job</li>\n <li>Must be capable of covering both mechanical and electrical equipment without support on off shifts.</li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Has operating knowledge of all production & service equipment.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Qualifications:</strong></p>\n<p><strong> </strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>5+ years electrical maintenance experience with strong electrical/mechanical knowledge of industrial systems and automated technologies.</li>\n <li>2 year electrical degree or similar education preferred but not required.</li>\n <li>Ability to read, write and communicate effectively in English.</li>\n <li>Basic computer skills required.</li>\n <li>Trained in lock out/tag out procedures.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Education, Skills, and/or Experience Required:  </strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li><strong>Must pass an electrical aptitude test.</strong></li>\n <li>Must be Arc Flash certified or have the ability to become Arc Flash certified. </li>\n <li>Must possess excellent troubleshooting skills</li>\n <li>PLC troubleshooting experience and work with tension controllers are a plus.</li>\n <li>VFD troubleshooting and replacement.</li>\n <li>Computer usage and typing skills are essential.</li>\n <li>Excellent verbal and written communication, including the ability to effectively communicate with internal and external customers.</li>\n <li>Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude and providing exemplary customer service.</li>\n <li>Ability to work independently and to carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions given, prescribed routines, and standard accepted practices.</li>\n <li>Communicates effectively: conveys facts and information clearly both verbally and orally.</li>\n <li>Collaborates well with others: proactively contributes to group objectives; volunteers to help others.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Working Conditions and Environment/Physical Demands:  </strong></p>\n<p> </p>\n<ul>\n <li>Must be able to accurately observe correct paths of travel and areas for product placement.</li>\n <li>Must be able to communicate and exchange information with teammates. </li>\n <li>Maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards. </li>\n <li>Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. </li>\n <li>Position is regularly scheduled for an 8-hour day shift.
