Conduct project site surveys to assess existing field conditions and electrical infrastructure.
Create shop drawings and details for installation personnel to use in construction.
Develop layouts in AutoCAD based on existing conditions, building codes, and customer requirements.
Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and field leaders to provide necessary information for installation.
Capture record drawings from the field and update shop drawings based on field markups and in-person visits.
What You’ll Need for Success:
Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or related field; Professional Engineering (PE) license preferred.
3+ years of experience in commercial electrical construction and design.
Strong knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC) and Chicago Electrical Code.
