    "description": "<h2>Overview</h2>Performs a variety of duties to meet Home Office laundry requirements including washing, drying, ironing and repairing. Works with some supervision and is responsible for making a minimal range of decisions, escalating to manager when necessary and updating manager on a regular basis.\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<p><strong>What you will do:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Manage and operate commercial washing machines, dryers, and other laundry equipment to ensure efficient processing of laundry items.</li>\n <li>Receive, sort, and classify laundry items based on type and color, ensuring proper handling and care for different fabrics.</li>\n <li>Load machines with laundry, select appropriate washing and drying cycles, and monitor the process to ensure quality results.</li>\n <li>Fold, press (hand iron and or utilize press machine), hang, and package clean laundry items for delivery or storage, ensuring they meet presentation standards.</li>\n <li>Perform minor repairs to clothing including but not limited to minor sewing (buttons, hems) and use of iron on patch material. </li>\n <li>Perform routine maintenance on laundry equipment, including cleaning filters and reporting any mechanical issues to management.</li>\n <li>Adhere to safety and sanitation standards, including proper handling of chemicals and maintaining a clean work environment.</li>\n <li>Informs supervisor of equipment problems and other issues.</li>\n <li>Provide excellent service to customers, addressing any inquiries or concerns regarding laundry services.</li>\n <li>Assists Housekeeper with light cleaning duties as needed.</li>\n <li>Performs other duties as assigned.</li>\n <li>Complies with all policies and standards.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>High School Diploma Or GED - Required</li>\n <li>Previous laundry experience - Required</li>\n <li>Demonstrated experience working independently. Experience must include identifying and resolving problems where independent decision-making and initiative were demonstrated - Required</li>\n <li>Demonstrated knowledge of detergents and cleaning agents and their use. - Required</li>\n <li>Demonstrated commercial mechanical ability sufficient to operate laundry equipment. - Required</li>\n <li>Demonstrated ability in sewing and garment repair. - Required</li>\n <li>Demonstrated ability to effectively interact and communicate with all levels of staff and management. - Required</li>\n <li>Demonstrated ability to read and comprehend written and oral instructions. - Required</li>\n <li>Working knowledge of basic computer with the ability to retrieve emails, send emails and access the intranet homepage - Preferred</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Work Setting/Position Demands:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Demonstrated ability to stand, walk, sit, stoop, reach, bend, kneel, crouch, crawl, push, balance, climb and lift on a regular basis. Lifting includes raising objects from a lower to higher position or to move objects horizontally from position-to-position. Frequently lifting objects up to 50 pounds unassisted and over 50 pounds assisted. </li>\n <li>Requires both verbal and written communication exchange accurate information to customers and associates on a regular basis. </li>\n</ul>\n<p>Requires visual acuity to read and interpret correspondence and procedures via paper and electronic documents, visual inspection involving small defects; small parts, and/or operation of machinery </p>",
