Who We Are:  CAMBA is a community of staff, volunteers, clients, donors, neighbors and partners who work together to build an inclusive New York City, where all children and adults have access to the resources and supports they need to thrive.  We take a comprehensive approach by offering more than 180 integrated programs in:  Education & Youth Development, Family Support, Job Training & Employment Support Services, Health, Housing, and Legal Services. We reach more than 73,000 individuals and families, including almost 13,000 youth. CAMBA serves a diverse cross section of New Yorkers from new mothers in Brownsville to job seekers in the Rockaways. More than half of our clients are immigrants and refugees from around the globe. Over 85% of our families are in living in poverty, reflecting the challenges faced by nearly 1.7 million New Yorkers today. CAMBA operates 6 single adult shelters and 6 family shelters and one drop in center. Each shelter offers clients a supportive, structured therapeutic, safe, and drug-free facility.  Homeless (often mentally-ill and substance-abusing) men and women are provided with comprehensive services to stabilize their condition in order to successfully transition into to permanent and/or supported housing. CAMBA’s Rising Up Men’s Shelter is a 141 bed men’s employment shelter located in the Williamsburg section of Brooklyn. This shelter will provide an array of services with a strong focus on connections for residents to achieve stable employment to lead to permanent housing.  Position: Vice President Reports To: Senior Vice President Location: 39 Ainslie Street Brooklyn, NY 11211 What The Vice President Does: Clearly communicate both CAMBA’s and funders’ policies, requirements, guidelines, and program performance targets to staff. Communicate with peers in other CAMBA shelters and external agencies on issues related to client progress and best program practices. Work with all staff to set staff performance targets in accordance with contract requirements. Ensure that all direct and subordinate staff complies with CAMBA’s and funders’ polices and rules. Oversee all program operations and manage direct reporting program staff and their subordinates. Develop and implement Quality Assurance measures to ensure quality service delivery to clients. Ensure that all client files and program files are kept in compliance with CAMBA's and funder's standards. Direct, coordinate, supervise and document programmatic activities facilitated by direct reporting staff. Observe staff engaging with clients and/or supervisors and their direct reports. Conduct client and program progress reviews with staff. Prepare, review and ensure the accuracy and timeliness of, contract reports and statistical information for both CAMBA management and funder use. Analyze program and demographic data to make programmatic improvements. Conduct regular staff meetings. Oversee onsite and organize offsite training opportunities for professional development of staff. Ensure that the site meets all regulatory compliance (i.e.-health, DHS, OTDA, Callahan, RSRI, safety, and fire department). Ensure that all housing goals, targets, and performance outcomes are met on a monthly/quarterly/annual basis. Ensure staff utilization of electronic database and conduct oversight to ensure data integrity. Direct and coordinate the hiring and firing of shelter staff (in consultation and agreement with Human Resources). Ensure that any disciplinary action taken, regarding staff, is in compliance with CAMBA’s disciplinary policy and procedure. Liaison with community leaders and groups to build connections, gain support and troubleshoot issues/concerns. Initiate and proactively create solutions to address gaps in shelter services or staff performance (i.e., basic computer training use of technology). Address and implement resolutions to client/staff complaints in a timely manner. Develop and implement crisis prevention and/or intervention strategies to ensure a safe and secure environment. Interact and troubleshoot issues with subcontractors and vendors (i.e.-food, medical, laundry, technology, etc.) Review and sign time sheets. Supervise, review and approve staff and subordinates’ training, vacation and leave. Prepare performance appraisals for direct reporting program staff. Participate in staff/funder/community and all outside agency meetings as requested. Immediately report to the appropriate Vice President any: monitoring visits or funders' events; significant events; any incident that might subject CAMBA to liability. Confer with the Vice President and/or other CAMBA management staff as needed regarding programmatic and personnel issues. May interact with funders. May have direct client service/program responsibilities in addition to the above. Minimum Education/Experience Required: Bachelor's degree (B. A.) and three to five years of applicable experience and/or equivalent experience. Master’s degree preferred. (A license is required of these Master's Degrees: Social Work (LMSW or LCSW), Mental Health Counseling, Counseling/Guidance, Art Therapy). Other Requirements: Ability to be on call 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Compensation :$90,000 to $95,000 annually When salary ranges are listed, the range would represent the low and high end for the applicable position & program. The salary offered would be based on various factors unique to each program and candidate. This includes but is not limited to experience, education, budget and/or program size, internal equity, skills and other factors that may be required for the position and organization. This shelter will provide an array of services with a strong focus on connections for residents to achieve stable employment to lead to permanent housing.</p><p><strong> Position: Vice President</strong></p><p><strong>Reports To: Senior Vice President            </strong></p><p><strong>Location: </strong><strong>39 Ainslie Street Brooklyn, NY 11211</strong></p><p><strong><u>What The Vice President Does:</u></strong></p><ul><li>Clearly communicate both CAMBA’s and funders’ policies, requirements, guidelines, and program performance targets to staff.</li><li>Communicate with peers in other CAMBA shelters and external agencies on issues related to client progress and best program practices.</li><li>Work with all staff to set staff performance targets in accordance with contract requirements.</li><li>Ensure that all direct and subordinate staff complies with CAMBA’s and funders’ polices and rules.</li><li>Oversee all program operations and manage direct reporting program staff and their subordinates.</li><li>Develop and implement Quality Assurance measures to ensure quality service delivery to clients.</li><li>Ensure that all client files and program files are kept in compliance with CAMBA's and funder's standards.</li><li>Direct, coordinate, supervise and document programmatic activities facilitated by direct reporting staff.</li><li>Observe staff engaging with clients and/or supervisors and their direct reports.</li><li>Conduct client and program progress reviews with staff.</li><li>Prepare, review and ensure the accuracy and timeliness of, contract reports and statistical information for both CAMBA management and funder use.</li><li>Analyze program and demographic data to make programmatic improvements.</li><li>Conduct regular staff meetings.</li><li>Oversee onsite and organize offsite training opportunities for professional development of staff.</li><li>Ensure that the site meets all regulatory compliance (i.e.-health, DHS, OTDA, Callahan, RSRI, safety, and fire department).</li><li>Ensure that all housing goals, targets, and performance outcomes are met on a monthly/quarterly/annual basis.</li><li>Ensure staff utilization of electronic database and conduct oversight to ensure data integrity.</li><li>Direct and coordinate the hiring and firing of shelter staff (in consultation and agreement with Human Resources).</li><li>Ensure that any disciplinary action taken, regarding staff, is in compliance with CAMBA’s disciplinary policy and procedure.</li><li>Liaison with community leaders and groups to build connections, gain support and troubleshoot issues/concerns.</li><li>Initiate and proactively create solutions to address gaps in shelter services or staff performance (i.e., basic computer training use of technology).</li><li>Address and implement resolutions to client/staff complaints in a timely manner.</li><li>Develop and implement crisis prevention and/or intervention strategies to ensure a safe and secure environment.</li><li>Interact and troubleshoot issues with subcontractors and vendors (i.e.-food, medical, laundry, technology, etc.)</li><li>Review and sign time sheets.</li><li>Supervise, review and approve staff and subordinates’ training, vacation and leave.</li><li>Prepare performance appraisals for direct reporting program staff.</li><li>Participate in staff/funder/community and all outside agency meetings as requested.</li><li>Immediately report to the appropriate Vice President any: monitoring visits or funders' events; significant events; any incident that might subject CAMBA to liability.</li><li>Confer with the Vice President and/or other CAMBA management staff as needed regarding programmatic and personnel issues.</li><li>May interact with funders.</li><li>May have direct client service/program responsibilities in addition to the above.</li></ul><p><strong><u>Minimum Education/Experience Required:</u></strong></p><ul><li>Bachelor's degree (B. A.) and three to five years of applicable experience and/or equivalent experience. Master’s degree preferred. (A license is required of these Master's Degrees: Social Work (LMSW or LCSW), Mental Health Counseling, Counseling/Guidance, Art Therapy).</li></ul><p><strong><u>Other Requirements:</u></strong></p><ul><li>Ability to be on call 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.</li></ul><p><strong>Compensation</strong>:$90,000 to $95,000 annually<br><em>When salary ranges are listed, the range would represent the low and high end for the applicable position & program.
