This role ensures critical materials, parts, and freight are purchased, tracked, expedited, and delivered to site in alignment with operational priorities.</p><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\">The position is structured to provide dedicated Friday through Monday coverage, a time that historically drives the highest risk for expedited freight, delayed shipments, and unplanned material needs. During this schedule, the Specialist supports purchasing execution, order follow-up, crew boat runs and urgent logistics coordination to maintain continuity of operations.</p><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\">The schedule for this position is 4 days on Friday-Monday based mainly at the Juneau office with occasional visits to the mine site located 45 miles north of Juneau, and 3 days off.&nbsp;</p><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><strong><u>Responsibilities:&nbsp;</u></strong></p><div style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><ul style=\"list-style-type: disc;margin-left: 28.25px;\"><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Work safely, stop work for safety concerns, and follow all safety policies, procedures, and best practices.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Support safe purchasing, freight handling, and transportation activities.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Assist with purchasing OPEX, CAPEX, and MRO goods and services under the guidance of the Sr. Purchasing Agent and Supply Chain leadership.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Work with operations, administration, maintenance, and warehouse teams on purchasing and inventory needs.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Process purchase requisitions accurately and in a timely manner.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Assist with vendor communication, pricing requests, order acknowledgments, and change orders.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Help gather quotes and support sourcing activities such as RFQs, RFIs, and RFPs.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Support accounts payable with invoice reconciliation issues as needed.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Provide expediting support during Friday through Monday coverage.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Coordinate local vendor pickups, Alaska Air Cargo, and AML freight handling and staging.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Track open purchase orders and follow up on items needing expedited delivery.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Share shipment updates, estimated arrival times, delays, and priority changes with warehouse supervisors and end users.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Assist with prioritizing freight for crew boat or barge shipment based on operational needs.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Help maintain accurate bills of lading, shipping documents, AML portal entries, and Oracle transactions.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Follow DOT Hazmat, customs, and site shipping requirements with support from the team.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Support requisition, purchase order, and expediting activities in Oracle ERP.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Provide timely communication and support during weekend and off-shift operations.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Perform other incidental and related duties as assigned.</li></ul></div><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><strong><u>Required Qualifications &amp;
