          "text": "<p><strong>Summary of Position&#xa0;</strong></p><p>The Assistant Women’s Hockey Coach assists the Head Coach with the organization and administration of all aspects of the women's hockey program, including coaching and training, student-athlete retention, advising, mentoring and recruiting prospective student-athletes.&#xa0;</p><p><strong>Primary Responsibilities</strong></p><ul><li>Provide instruction and development in hockey-specific skills, team concepts, physical conditioning, and safety in both individual and team settings.</li><li>Identify and recruit talented, academically qualified prospective student-athletes aligned with the mission and values of the University.</li><li>Support the holistic development of student-athletes through mentorship in personal growth, academic success, and life skills.</li><li>Assist with planning and implementing practices and competitions, conducting film analysis, and facilitating team meetings.</li></ul><p><strong>Additional Responsibilities</strong></p><ul><li>Assist with monitoring and supporting academic progress of student-athletes/teams to exceed athletic department standards.</li><li>Assist with maintaining acceptable student-athlete retention rates to the team and/or institution.</li><li>Assist with budget management, fundraising, travel planning and program organization.</li><li>Assist with Alumni/parent communication and involvement, including organizing events as appropriate.</li><li>Assist with organizing and participating in team community-service event(s).</li><li>Assist with team camps and clinics.</li><li>All other duties as apparent or assigned by supervisor(s).</li></ul><p><strong>Work Environment and Physical Demands</strong></p><ul><li>Work is performed primarily in an indoor ice arena and athletic facilities, with regular exposure to cold temperatures, ice surfaces, and high noise levels during practices and competitions.</li><li>Ability to stand for extended periods and assist with demonstrations, practices, recruiting activities, and team operations.</li><li>Evening and weekend work required.&#xa0;</li><li>Frequent local travel and occasional national travel.</li></ul>",
