The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining diesel engines, heavy trucks, and related equipment. This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented professional who takes pride in their work and is looking for a long-term role with a stable and growing company.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Diesel Mechanics are responsible for the maintenance and repair of the company’s Diesel Fleet trucks. </p>\n<p><strong>The hourly rate for this positon is 26.54/HR. </strong></p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<p><strong>ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES</strong> include the following.  Other duties may be assigned. </p>\n<ul>\n <li>Mechanics inspect equipment for damage or failures.</li>\n <li>Perform diagnostics and repair service for equipment component failures.</li>\n <li>Remove and replace damaged or defective components, and operate support equipment including forklifts, man lifts, and service trucks. </li>\n <li>Mechanics may also be required to perform basic welds, clean the shop area, and perform stocking functions. </li>\n <li>Will be cross trained to work on cranes and heavy equipment</li>\n</ul>\n<p>All work performed must be done in a safe and efficient manner</p>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<p><strong>QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS.</strong></p>\n<p> To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfacto­rily.  The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>GENERAL REQUIREMENTS / EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and one year's related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.</li>\n <li>A valid Driver’s License</li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Mechanical experience working with diesel engines, technical school a plus</li>\n <li>Must comply with established safety rules, policies and procedures, including wearing required safety equipment</li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Must be able to work nights, weekends, and holidays. <em>Company will train. </em></li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong> </strong></p>\n<p><strong>LANGUAGE SKILLS</strong></p>\n<p>            Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.  Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.  Ability to speak effectively be­fore groups of customers or employees of organization.</p>\n<p><strong>MATHEMATICAL SKILLS</strong></p>\n<p>            Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>REASONING ABILITY</strong></p>\n<p>            Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.  Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>PHYSICAL DEMANDS.</strong>  The physical demands described here are represen­tative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
