          "text": "<p>Certified Recovery Peer Advocates (CRPA) are required to possess an OASAS approved certification as a peer advocate. The CRPA will provide peer support services to patients in treatment and recovery from a substance use disorder.</p><p><strong>Responsibilities:</strong></p><ul><li>Support the clinical team by facilitating connections between patients and additional recovery resources, enhancing patient understanding through education about community services.</li><li>Deliver nonclinical crisis assistance to individuals undergoing treatment.</li><li>Immerse patients in diverse recovery avenues and methods, offering guidance on various pathways to healing.</li><li>Contribute personal or relevant anecdotes on addiction and recovery to foster relatability and empathy.</li><li>Engage patients proactively to underscore treatment significance and elevate retention rates.</li><li>Efficiently utilize the EMR system for comprehensive documentation of rendered services and shared insights with patients.</li><li>Engage in regular staff meetings, contribute to case reviews, and actively participate in supervision sessions.</li><li>Conduct informative sessions and training for NYPCC staff, spotlighting emerging recovery trends and resources.</li><li>Perform other duties as assigned by Supervisor, Program Administration, and Leadership</li></ul>",
