    "description": "<h2>Job Description</h2>\n<p></p>\n<p> </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Spectrum Healthcare Resources has a potential  opportunity for a civilian <strong>Licensed Practical Nurse - BOMC </strong> at<strong> Nellis Air Force Base, in Las Vegas Nevada.</strong> This contract position offers:</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Position Highlights:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Employee status and access to a comprehensive benefits package including Medical, Dental, and, Vision, 401(K), PTO and Sick time</li>\n <li>Schedule - 40 hours weekly, scheduled between 0730 and 1630  1 hour lunch</li>\n <li>Fully Insured patient population</li>\n <li>No on-call</li>\n <li>Opportunity to Care for our Active Duty, Retiree's and their families</li>\n <li>11 paid federal holidays</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Education and Experience:</strong></p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>The BOMC <strong>Licensed Practical Nurse</strong> will have the following requirements:</p>\n<p> </p>\n<ul>\n <li>Must be a US citizen, or lawful permanent resident, or alien authorized to work in the US</li>\n <li>Shall have and maintain a current, full, active, and unrestricted license to practice as a Licensed Practical Nurse in any one of the 50 states, the District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, or the U.S. Virgin Islands.</li>\n <li>Shall hold and maintain Basic Life Support (BLS), Certifications must be through American Heart Association or American Red Cross guidelines. Additionally, must provide proof of documented training from the National Foundation for Integrative Medicine (NFIM) or a similar accredited body. </li>\n <li>Graduate from an accredited community college, junior college, college, or vocational nursing program approved by the appropriate State agency; The National League for Nursing Accrediting Commission (NLNAC) or the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE).</li>\n <li>Must have a minimum of one year, but three years preferred, of practical or vocational nurse experience after graduation.</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Standared Qualifications:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Perform a full range of LPN duties within the scope of their license and privileges granted by the MTF.Serves as a Practical Nurse performing patient care and nursing administrative duties in accordance with established policies, procedures, protocols, and guidelines.</li>\n <li>Monitors and records age-appropriate physiological measurements.</li>\n <li>Orients new patients to the clinic/hospital environment.</li>\n <li>Assists with patient check-ins, admissions, discharges, and transfers as directed.</li>\n <li>Provides individualized patient teaching on appropriate topics to include preventative healthcare and health maintenance.</li>\n <li>Perform basic administrative and clerical duties, including scheduling follow-up appointments, managing referral queues, and communicating with patients via phone or secure messaging.</li>\n <li>Recognize urgent or emergent patient care situations, seek assistance of the RN and/or MD, Nurse Practitioner or Midwife and initiate appropriate emergency interventions as directed to include urgent intravenous access and procedures.</li>\n <li>Maintain a professional manner, display a positive and cooperative attitude, and adhere to all MTF policies regarding safety, patient privacy, and dress code.</li>\n <li>Perform and complete specimen collections to include urine, catheter collection, venipuncture, tissue biopsies, KOH, STI swabs, GBS swabs, and any other indicated collections in accordance with unit policies/procedures.</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Company Overview:</strong></p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>“At Spectrum, we utilize over thirty-five years of experience providing optimal solutions for federal agencies that are both innovative and cost-effective.
