Direct Support Professional - Full time 1st & 2nd Shift - Clark County Job Description Starting Rate: $15.00/hour Full Time - All shifts Direct Support Professionals in this role serve individuals with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities; candidates that will be considered for this position must be available to work at least one weekend per month. Individuals in this position shall aim to assist clients in leading a safe and meaningful lifestyle through community integration, and in gaining independence with day-to-day activities through skills training activities and the implementation of goal related activities. This individual must be able to work with clients in home-based settings as well as in the community. Day-to-day activities range from in home care of 1-4 individuals (promoting independence in the home including hygiene care, preparing meals, and basic up-keep of the home) and one-on-one activities in the community (assisting our clients in increasing community integration by providing assistance with grocery shopping, attending medical appointments, sporting events or concerts in in the park). Complete all annual tests and trainings including but not limited to TB test or chest x-ray, SCM, CPR, First Aid, and BBP Certifications, Core A/B, ISP/PCP, Incident Reporting, Abuse/Neglect/Exploitation, Documentation, and Transportation 4. Must possess a valid state driver’s license, proof of insurance coverage per company policy, and have a vehicle that is reliable for transportation of clients 5. Experience with adults with developmental disabilities or functional impairments EDUCATION/YEARS OF EXPERIENCE : High School Diploma or GED required 1-year experience preferred with individuals that have developmental disabilities and/or functional impairments PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
