Join us in the office, three days a week to contribute, connect and excel in our vibrant environment.</strong></span></p><p style=\"line-height: normal; margin-bottom: 0cm;\">&nbsp;</p><p><span lang=\"EN-US\"><strong>Working with an energetic and high-performing team, this position offers a variety of work and will see you involved in:</strong></span></p><ul style=\"list-style-type: disc;\"><li><span lang=\"EN-US\">Provide technical expertise, with a strong field background, in more than one of: avian, botanic, wildlife, bats, natural heritage, ecological land classification, wetland, or arborist surveys</span></li><li><span lang=\"EN-US\">Build positive relationships with internal clients, existing GHD clients along with the development of new clients</span></li><li><span lang=\"EN-US\">Provide mentorship while encouraging an upbeat and collaborative environment</span></li><li><span lang=\"EN-US\">Lead the development of the scope, including field work-plans, reporting, as well as permitting, authorizations, and approvals (MECP, Conservation Authorities, SARA, etc.), and author reports</span></li><li><span lang=\"EN-US\">Manage the development of proposals, including field programs and budgets</span></li><li><span lang=\"EN-US\">Provide technical input on the natural environment components of Environmental Assessments, Environmental Impact Studies, and Natural Heritage Studies while coordinating technical resources and personnel</span></li><li><span lang=\"EN-US\">Provide data interpretation in the context of environmental regulations, preparation or review of environmental reports, and regulatory submissions</span></li><li><span lang=\"EN-US\">Occasional travel to sites, primarily in Ontario</span></li><li><span lang=\"EN-US\">Lead field investigations as required</span></li></ul><p><span lang=\"EN-US\"><strong>What you will bring to the team:</strong></span></p><ul style=\"list-style-type: disc;\"><li><span lang=\"EN-US\">Minimum of 10 years of proven consulting experience weighted towards vegetation, wetland, and terrestrial ecosystems</span></li><li><span lang=\"EN-US\">Bachelor’s degree in biology, Ecology, Natural Resource Management, or equivalent education</span></li><li><span lang=\"EN-US\">Graduate degree is considered an asset</span></li><li><span lang=\"EN-US\">Outstanding communication and technical writing ability with experience managing teams</span></li><li><span lang=\"EN-US\">Ontario-based certifications or training (e.g., Ecological Land Classification, Butternut Health Assessment, Ontario Wetland Evaluation System, etc.) preferred</span></li><li><span lang=\"EN-US\">Demonstrated field experience with application of natural environment consulting Provincial or Federal Environmental Assessment and Impact Assessments in at least one of these fields: transportation, land development, waste management or mining</span></li><li><span lang=\"EN-US\">Proven project and client management skills, including building budgets and effectively managing projects</span></li><li><span lang=\"EN-US\">Experience working with Indigenous communities is an asset</span></li><li><span lang=\"EN-US\">Proficient with the Microsoft Office suite</span></li><li><span lang=\"EN-US\">A valid driver's license along with a clean driver's abstract</span></li></ul><p><span lang=\"EN-US\">#LI-MC1</span></p><p><span lang=\"EN-US\"><strong>The salary range for this position is $101,120 - $162,000K</strong></span></p><p><span lang=\"EN-US\">The posted salary range represents the expected hiring range for GHD locations in its major city centres. Ranges may vary for positions in other locations. At GHD, base salary is determined by your skills, experience, qualifications, and work location.
