This role involves leading complex engineering initiatives, developing equipment standards, supporting procurement and field operations, and ensuring compliance with utility practices, industry codes, and regulatory requirements.</p><p>ESSENTIAL DUTIES &amp; RESPONSIBILITIES</p><ul><li>Lead the specification and standardization of substation power equipment including transformers, circuit breakers, disconnect switches, instrument transformers, and surge arresters.</li><li>Perform and review advanced engineering analyses for equipment ratings, fault current withstand, thermal performance, insulation coordination, and lifecycle cost.</li><li>Evaluate vendor proposals, review technical submittals, and oversee factory acceptance testing (FAT) to ensure compliance with utility requirements and industry standards.</li><li>Provide expert technical support during equipment installation, commissioning, and troubleshooting, including field visits and coordination with construction and operations teams.</li><li>Collaborate with procurement, asset management, and reliability teams to optimize equipment selection, performance, and maintenance strategies.</li><li>Develop and maintain engineering standards, datasheets, and technical documentation for substation equipment.</li><li>Lead root cause analysis of equipment failures and recommend corrective actions or design improvements.</li><li>Mentor junior engineers and contribute to training programs and technical development initiatives.</li><li><p>Ensures power equipment is in compliance with associated regulatory requirements (NERC, IUB, etc.)</p><p>&nbsp;</p></li><li>Stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and regulatory changes affecting substation equipment, and apply insights to improve utility practices.</li></ul><p>&nbsp;</p><p>QUALIFICATIONS</p><ul><li>Bachelor's degree in Engineering.&nbsp;Major in Electrical Engineering or relevant, equivalent experience and/or education.</li><li>Minimum of six (6) years of work experience in related area for Senior Engineer level</li><li>Power system coursework preferred for electrical engineering majors.</li><li>Utility experience preferred.</li><li>Possess sound analytical, problem-solving and documentation skills.</li><li>Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing with superiors and individuals inside and outside the Company.</li><li>Ability to multi-task and work under minimal supervision, in a team environment.</li><li>Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint).</li><li>Ability to learn and utilize job specific software.&nbsp;</li><li>Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States for any employer.&nbsp; ITC does not sponsor employment visas, such as H-1B or TN visas.&nbsp;&nbsp;</li></ul>",
