The Screed Operator will be responsible for controlling the screed, the component of the paver that levels and smooths the asphalt mixture, ensuring the proper distribution, thickness, and smoothness of the asphalt surface. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail, the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and a commitment to safety and quality.</span><br></span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\"><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Key Responsibilities:</span><br></span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">Operate Screed: Operate and control the screed of an asphalt paver, ensuring the proper spreading and smoothening of the asphalt material to meet job specifications.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">Set and Adjust Screed: Set the screed to the correct elevation and width based on the project requirements. Adjust the screed during operation to ensure an even and consistent asphalt layer.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">Monitor Asphalt Flow: Continuously monitor the flow of the asphalt mixture to ensure that the paver is working efficiently and that there is no inconsistency in the material distribution.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">Ensure Quality Control: Verify that the surface being laid meets the required specifications for thickness, smoothness, and compaction. Address any irregularities in real-time and communicate with the crew if adjustments are needed.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">Coordinate with Other Operators: Work closely with the paver operator and other crew members to ensure smooth, continuous paving.
