Job Overview The Assistant Director Program Evaluation & Project Management will be responsible for development and implementation of systems for research, program evaluation, and project management to support effective implementation of District priorities. The incumbent will oversee all aspects of district research, conduct program evaluations, oversee project management systems, and implement data and reporting protocols to support continuous improvement. The Assistant Director Program Evaluation and Project Management will provide strong leadership in the area of evaluation, improvement, and resource allocation to ensure attainment of District priorities and goals. Position Description Essential Duties and Responsibilities Research, Program Evaluation, & Project Management Lead the design, implementation, and monitoring of systems for a comprehensive research, program evaluation, and review cycle for district-wide programs Lead the annual program evaluation process including development of evaluation scope, data analysis, and action planning using results to promote efficiency of resource allocation and continuous improvement to ensure programming supports improved student achievement Oversee the Project Management Office to facilitate intake, monitor progress, and ensure projects are completed on time and within scope. Establish systems and implement protocols for data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and areas of improvement for district programs Oversee all aspects of District research projects to ensure adherence to laws and guidelines governing research including data requests and reporting of defined project outcomes Lead the Research Review Board to collaboratively analyze, approve, and make recommendations regarding proposed internal and external research to be conducted in the District Complete professional literature reviews on educational research and evaluation, and report on appropriate topics that could be of interest to the improvement of the District Leadership Establish and implement systems for progress monitoring including quarterly reporting on research, program evaluation, and project management processes within the district Conduct annual program evaluations, manage scope, timelines for data review, stakeholder engagement, reporting, and analysis to support continuous improvement Manage technology systems and reporting structures including tools that support data reporting, survey, feedback, and information sharing Develop and deliver training for District and campus administrators and other relevant stakeholder groups on program evaluation practices, evidence analysis, and data driven decision-making best practices Collaborate to support district department and campus leader engagement in improvement planning, progress monitoring, and evaluation of defined improvement strategies Administrative Design and prepare customized formative and summative reports and databases to support research, program evaluation, and project management Review project outcomes and evaluate effectiveness of the project management office and personnel Facilitate the use of District data systems to ensure ongoing review and analysis of data Collaborate to compile results from stakeholder engagement activities including surveys, focus groups, and other feedback opportunities Attend pertinent District and community functions to support the development of partnerships across the organization and within the community Prepare professional written reports and communications for the Superintendent and Board in consultation leaders of the Executive Team Maintain records, plans, and data related to the implementation of department work priorities Keep abreast of current research, state, and federal guidelines, rules and regulations related to research, program evaluation, data analysis, and project management Adhere to all federal, state, and local laws and policies Supervisory Responsibilities Assist in the process of recruiting, screening, interviewing, and hiring of assigned staff Initiate personnel actions including documentation and termination under the guidance of Human Resources Conduct performance appraisals of assigned staff Address complaints and resolve problems in a timely manner Supervise project management systems Monitor and maintain data reporting systems Job Overview The Assistant Director Program Evaluation & Project Management will be responsible for development and implementation of systems for research, program evaluation, and project management to support effective implementation of District priorities.
