Job Title: Temporary Designer Location: New York, NY Department: Design Employment Type: Temporary (3-month assignment) Role Overview Stoney Clover Lane is seeking a Assistant Designer to support the Design team during a high-volume period. This role will contribute to the design and execution of handbags and accessories from concept through development, ensuring alignment with brand standards and timelines. What You’ll Do • Concept and design products from start to finish, including artwork and hardware development • Create prints, graphics, embroidery, and embellishment layouts for handbags, accessories, and patches • Partner with Founders and Design team to develop seasonal concepts, materials, and color direction • Ensure all design details are clearly handed off to Product Development within deadlines • Maintain design integrity and ensure high-quality execution across all products • Research trends, shop market, and identify relevant design opportunities • Collaborate cross-functionally to support development timelines and deliverables What You Bring • Open to fresh grads or 1-2 years of experience designing handbags and/or accessories • Strong understanding of materials, hardware, leather, and construction • Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop • Ability to create technical sketches and design layouts • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment • Strong communication and collaboration skills Key Attributes • Creative with strong attention to detail • Strong sense of ownership and accountability • Collaborative and team-focused • Proactive and solutions-oriented • Able to manage deadlines and shifting priorities • Maintains discretion with confidential information Compensation • Hourly rate: $27-$40 per hour • Hybrid schedule: 4 days in NY office • Minimum 3-month assignment Why Work Here At Stoney Clover Lane, you’ll be part of a creative and growing brand where design and innovation are at the center of everything we do.
