    "description": "<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Role Summary:</span></p>\n<p><br>The Sports Supervisor is responsible for organising, leading, and supervising<br>sporting activities for boarders at The Island Boarding Campus. This role promotes<br>physical health, teamwork, and personal development through a varied sports<br>programme.</p>\n<p><br><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Key Responsibilities:</span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Plan, deliver, and supervise daily and weekend sporting activities, including<br>team sports, individual fitness, and water-based activities where available.<br>Ensure all sports activities are conducted safely, following risk assessments<br>and health and safety guidelines.</li>\n<li>Encourage boarders of all abilities to participate, promoting inclusivity and<br>enjoyment.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Maintain and manage sports equipment and facilities, reporting any<br>maintenance needs.</li>\n<li>Collaborate with the Residential team to coordinate evening and weekend<br>activity schedules.</li>\n<li>Supervise off-campus sports trips, including local competitions and external<br>sports facilities.</li>\n<li>Support boarders in developing leadership skills through sports, such as<br>assisting with house teams or competitions.<br>Additional Duties</li>\n<li>Work according to the duty rota 10 hours per week, including weekends and<br>public holidays during term time.</li>\n<li>Report any safeguarding or welfare concerns immediately to the Duty<br>Designated Safeguarding Lead.</li>\n<li>Encourage boarders to use English as the primary language during activities.</li>\n<li>Participate in boarding staff training and house team meetings.<br>Candidate Requirements</li>\n<li>Experience in coaching or supervising sports for children or young people.</li>\n<li>Knowledge of sports risk assessment and safety procedures.</li>\n<li>Genuine interest in running and supervising sport events.</li>\n<li>First aid qualification (desirable).</li>\n<li>Experience with water sports (desirable).</li>\n<li>Proficient in Google Workspace and basic IT systems.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Personal Attributes:</span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Energetic, organised, and responsible.</li>\n<li>Passionate about both sports and cultural education.</li>\n<li>Adaptable and comfortable working within a shift system.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Benefits:</span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Friendly, professional team environment.</li>\n<li>Free meals when on duty.</li>\n<li>Training and development opportunities.</li>\n<li>Work mobile phone and laptop provided.</li>\n<li>Competitive salary.</li>\n<li>Free parking.</li>\n</ul>",
