Description

Position Summary Acuren is currently recruiting for a Supervisor, Move Coordination to support the organization’s relocation to a new facility. This role will be responsible for coordinating and overseeing move-related activities to ensure a smooth and efficient transition with minimal disruption to operations. This is a temporary full-time contract position running from July 1, 2026 through March 30, 2027, and will be based out of our Edmonton office. Responsibilities The role is responsible for planning and executing operational moves and relocations across various locations. This role coordinates move activities, maintains clear communication across teams, and ensures relocations are completed efficiently, safely, and with minimal disruption to operations. Reporting to the Asset and Equipment Manager Canada, the Supervisor, Move Coordination provides direct oversight to labourers supporting move activities. Working closely with project leadership, operational teams, and external vendors, the incumbent organizes schedules, monitors progress, and addresses logistical challenges to support successful move execution Serve as a central coordination point between operational teams, project leadership, facilities, IT, and external vendors. Facilitate regular coordination meetings to ensure alignment and readiness across teams. Communicate updates, risks, and milestones to stakeholders throughout the transition period. Supervise and coordinate the activities of labourers, including work assignment, performance oversight, and adherence to safety and operational standards. Operational Readiness Support teams in preparing for relocation by confirming equipment readiness, workspace requirements, and logistical needs. Identify potential disruptions and collaborate with stakeholders to implement mitigation plans. Ensure that moves occur with minimal impact on ongoing operations. Tracking & Reporting Maintain move schedules, task lists, and progress tracking tools. Provide regular status updates and reports to project leadership. Monitor completion of key milestones and ensure follow-up actions are addressed. Issue Resolution Identify coordination challenges early and work collaboratively to resolve them. Escalate significant risks or delays to project leadership with recommended solutions. Key Outputs Coordinated and executed move plans for all transitioning locations. Clear communication and alignment across all participating teams. Timely identification and resolution of relocation issues. Accurate progress tracking and reporting throughout the transition period. Other work duties as assigned. Requirements KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES: Previous experience in coordination, supervision, project support, or operational planning roles. Demonstrated ability to organize complex activities involving multiple stakeholders. Strong communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work across departments. Excellent planning, scheduling, and organizational abilities. Ability to prioritize tasks and manage competing timelines in a fast-paced environment. Experience supporting facility relocations, operational transitions, or project implementations is considered an asset. Highly organized and detail oriented. Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills. Solution-focused with the ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities. Proactive communicator who keeps stakeholders informed and aligned. EDUCATION: Post-secondary diploma or degree in Business Administration, Project Management, Operations Management, Communications, or a related field preferred. Equivalent combination of education and relevant experience may be considered. 5 years of coordination, supervisory, or project support experience in operations, facilities, logistics, or project environments.
