    "requisitionDescription": "<div><div><p><br></p><p id=\"isPasted\"><strong>Job Title:</strong> Welding Technician II</p><p><strong>Classification:&nbsp;</strong>Non-exempt</p><p><strong>Salary Range:&nbsp;</strong>$27.00 - $31.00 per hour</p><p><strong>Reports To:&nbsp;</strong>Production Manager</p><p><strong>Position Type:&nbsp;</strong> Full Time</p><p><strong>Work Schedule:&nbsp;</strong>M-F; 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.&nbsp;</p><p><strong>Work Location: HQ, Kansas City</strong>, MO&nbsp;</p><p><strong>&nbsp;</strong></p><p><strong>Job Summary:</strong></p><p>The Welding Technician II performs advanced welding techniques and fabricates high-quality products by cutting, grinding, and welding using MIG and TIG applications.&nbsp;</p><p>The Welding Technician II aligns with Master&rsquo;s core values of relentlessly pursuing excellence, operating with high integrity, communicating with a positive attitude, and is innovative and solution oriented.</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p><strong>Essential Functions: &nbsp;</strong></p><ul><li>Reads and interprets blueprints, build sheets, travelers, or other paperwork dictating product characteristics</li></ul><ul type=\"disc\"><li>Performs all welding procedures including machine settings, bottles, and necessary fittings</li><li>Sets up and performs MIG and TIG Welding operations</li></ul><ul><li>Uses a variety of hand tools including pneumatic tools such as die grinders and cutting wheels, electric grinders, pry bars, chisels, clamps, and others</li></ul><ul type=\"disc\"><li>Fabricates products through cutting, grinding, and welding methods</li></ul><ul><li>Utilizes measuring instruments such as tape measures, calipers, gauges, and &ldquo;string checks&rdquo; to ensure the product built is within quality tolerances</li></ul><ul type=\"disc\"><li>Inspects welds for cracks, burn through, and weld spatter</li><li>Grinds and cleans areas where required</li><li>Communicates effectively with team members, other departments, and customers</li><li>Maintains welding machines (tip, liner, changes, etc.) and welding vertical, horizontal, and overhead</li><li>Follows hazardous waste disposal program and fire prevention procedures</li><li>Comply with all health and safety programs</li><li>Maintains a neat and clean work area</li></ul><p><strong>&nbsp;</strong></p><p><strong>Competencies:</strong></p><ul><li>Technical Skills</li><li>Innovation</li><li>Teamwork</li><li>Communication</li><li>Problem-Solving Skills&nbsp;</li></ul><p><strong>Supervisory Responsibilities:&nbsp;</strong>None</p><p><strong>Work Environment:&nbsp;</strong></p><p>Manufacturing Plant Environment: 100%&nbsp;</p><p>Personal Protective Equipment recommended and/or required on production floor:</p><ul><li>Safety glasses, or prescription safety glasses that meet ANSI Z 87.1-2020</li><li>Hearing Protection that meets ANSI S 12.6-2016</li><li>Steel-toed shoes with anti-slip soles that meet ASTM&nbsp;F2413-2018</li></ul><p data-pasted=\"true\"><strong>Safety Sensitive:</strong></p><p>This position is classified as safety‑sensitive and requires employees to perform duties where impaired performance could pose a significant risk to the health and safety of themselves or others.
