Join DCI today to build relationships and gain fulfillment serving individuals in our comfortable clinical setting with a lower caregiver-to-patient ratio than other providers.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>The <strong>Dialysis Nurse Educator (RN)</strong> provides initial and ongoing professional training and education for facility staff.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Schedule:</strong> Full-time, four 7.5-hour days Monday through Friday, shifts start at 8am</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Compensation:</strong> Pay range from $65,000-$75,000 annually, depending on nursing and dialysis experience</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Benefits:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>New Educator Training Class (four days of professional education, virtual or in-person)</li>\n <li>Comprehensive medical, dental and vision benefits</li>\n <li>Life and long-term disability insurance provided at no additional expense to employee</li>\n <li>Paid time off (PTO) including holidays</li>\n <li>Extended Sick Bank (ESB) in addition to PTO – paid time for doctor appointments, sickness or medical leave</li>\n <li>Retirement plans with $.50 of each contributed dollar matched for eligible employees, up to 8 percent</li>\n <li>Education reimbursement</li>\n <li>Employee assistance program</li>\n <li>Wellness program</li>\n <li>Among others</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<p><strong>What You Can Expect:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Support and guidance from corporate clinical team</li>\n <li>Develop unit-specific policies and procedures with guidance from medical director and clinic manager</li>\n <li>Lead classroom theory training for patient care staff new to dialysis</li>\n <li>Verify new staff competencies before assigning additional independent tasks</li>\n <li>Oversee preceptor program and report progress</li>\n <li>Educate staff on new and existing clinic policies and procedures</li>\n <li>Provide instruction to patient care team to correct deficiencies identified during federal or state surveys</li>\n <li>Assign and monitor completion of new-hire and annual online education modules within established deadlines</li>\n <li>Administer annual competency testing of all patient care staff, and if needed, provide additional training to those not meeting requirements</li>\n <li>Audit medical records, infection control and regulatory compliance annually and develop a corrective plan for any deficiencies</li>\n <li>Monitor and track licensure and certifications for all disciplines</li>\n <li>Ensure any non-certified PCTs test for certification within 12 months of hire</li>\n <li>Coordinate or facilitate CPR certification classes</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<p><strong>Successful Candidates Bring:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Excellent communication and teaching skills</li>\n <li>Demonstrated clinical excellence</li>\n <li>Strong leadership skills</li>\n <li>Desire to collaborate with care teams and across disciplines</li>\n <li>Ability to problem solve</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Education/Training:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Accredited nursing degree required (BSN, AA, RN diploma)</li>\n <li>Two years’ dialysis experience required, with six months’ experience as a charge nurse preferred</li>\n <li>Current NY Registered Nurse license</li>\n <li>Current CPR/AED certification</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>DCI’s Differentiator:</strong>Since opening the first clinic 50 years ago in Nashville, Tenn., our Dialysis Clinic, Inc. family has grown to be the nation’s largest nonprofit dialysis provider with more than 270 locations in 30 states, serving nearly 14,000 patients each day.
