The Lecturer or Assistant Professor will contribute to the School’s research profile and to governance and service activities that contribute to the School’s mission. This role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to research, teaching, and community and industry engagement in a collegiate environment.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>The Lecturer or Assistant Professor will work closely with the Dean of Academic Programs and other stakeholders to cultivate a vibrant and supportive learning environment.</p>\n<p>This position provides a platform to influence the future of financial technology education and practice.<em> </em>As part of an AACSB-accredited institution, the role demands a commitment to curriculum excellence, student success, and impactful industry engagement.</p>\n<p>This role description should be read in conjunction with the ‘Position Classification Standards’ (Attached).</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Please refer to the link below for more information on the responsibilities:</span></p>\n<p><span><a href=\"https://www.dropbox.com/scl/fi/o815l2f3t8d2ffq0acih2/Responsibility-Assistant-Professor-Finance-and-Business-Analytics-supporting-University-Of-Wollongong-India-Branch.docx?rlkey=21mylojioi5cuuh59shzawupx&amp;st=niofjndw&amp;dl=0\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><em>Responsibility - Assistant Professor (Finance and Business Analytics)</em></a></span><em> </em></p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">About The Candidate </span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Essential</span>:                </p>\n<ul>\n<li>Possession of a relevant Doctoral qualification or in the advanced stages of research towards a Doctoral qualification (Lecturer position only).</li>\n<li>Teaching experience in Finance or Business Analytics with expertise in Financial Technology (FinTech) or related areas.</li>\n<li>Strong foundational knowledge of Finance or Business Analytics.</li>\n<li>Excellent communication skills and a proven ability to establish good working relationships with colleagues,</li>\n<li>Demonstrated skills, knowledge and experience relevant to the field such as a record of scholarly learning and teaching including innovative curriculum design, teaching pedagogies, and/or positive engagement with community, industry, government,</li>\n<li>Demonstrated research expertise, including but not limited to literature review, qualitative and quantitative research, and publications in high-quality academic journals. Demonstrated contribution to Governance and Service activity both within the University and external bodies (eg professional associations).</li>\n<li>Fluency in English (both spoken and written).</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Desirable</span>:</p>\n<ul>\n<li>Ability to travel to UOW Dubai and/or UOW Australia,</li>\n<li>Ability to work outside of business hours to teach if required.</li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Strong foundational knowledge in FinTech, including emerging technologies such as blockchain, AI-driven finance, and digital banking.
