Position Overview The Global Marketing Manager plays a critical strategic role within the Polymer Solutions business. This position drives global market understanding, shapes long‑term marketing strategy, and supports profitable growth across regions. The role ensures strong market intelligence, identifies new opportunities, enables commercial execution, and helps position the business as a leading partner in sustainable polymer solutions. This role can be based out of multiple of our EMEA locations with flexible ways of working considered. Responsibilities Market Management Lead market and portfolio strategy for assigned Performance Plastics businesses. Represent Marketing in governance and strategic decision forums. Drive market‑led innovation, product development prioritization, and commercialization in partnership with cross‑functional teams. Support profitable growth through market insights, positioning, communication, and sales enablement. Global Marketing Planning Develop and implement global 5‑year and annual marketing plans aligned with business strategy. Conduct market analysis, segmentation, and participation strategies. Align regional sales and cross‑functional teams to balance global direction with local execution. Lead delivery of marketing objectives through programs, promotions, and communications. Market Intelligence & Data Lead primary research (VOC) and secondary research to consolidate market share, supply/demand, trade flows, and competitive intelligence. Maintain databases for capacity, production, and competitive additions across key polymer families (ABS, SAN, PS). Provide structured monthly/quarterly insights for senior leadership, supporting decision making and S&OP demand planning. Ensure data governance for market segmentation and reporting. Business Profitability, Pricing & Contracts Build customer and value‑chain insight to identify and unlock profitable opportunities. Define and monitor price‑premium guidelines by segment and product grade. Approve commercial contracts to ensure alignment with pricing strategy and profitability targets. Global Projects – Sustainable Polymer Technologies Assess global market opportunities for sustainable polymers across new and existing segments. Engage with brand owners and potential partners in sustainability leadership. Build business cases and guide R&D activities to support new product development aligned with market needs. Additional Strategic Projects Provide marketing input on supply/demand balances, competitor analysis, and market opportunities to support cross‑functional project teams. Contribute to strategic decisions by delivering timely and relevant market insights. Qualifications Education Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or a related technical discipline required. Experience Minimum 10 years in commercial, marketing, or technical roles within polymers or the broader chemical industry. Technical Knowledge & Skills Strong business acumen with understanding of P&L, cash flow, and investment cases. Solid understanding of manufacturing, supply chain, and operations. Strong analytical abilities and market modeling capabilities. Excellent communication and presentation skills. Skilled at decision‑making and structured problem solving. Knowledge of polymer chemistry and processing is highly advantageous.
