    "description": "<h2>Department Overview</h2>\n<p>OHSU HEALTH at Hillsboro Medical Center</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>The OHSU Department of Neurology is seeking a full-time physician to join our thriving and growing team at Hillsboro Medical Center (HMC). HMC is a traditional community department and located on the west side of Portland/Hillsboro with a growing population. The Dept of Neurology serves a diverse patient population. HMC is a Nationally recoginized stroke center by the American Stroke Association and also features a cardiac catheterization lab, providing comprehensive care to the surrounding region. Many OHSU Marquam Hill departments now provide specialty services on-site, creating a unique blend of academic and community services. </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>The department has a dedicated team of physicians and advanced practice providers (APP) serving the patient population, primarily treating the following:</p>\n<ul>\n <li>Migraines and Headaches</li>\n <li>Stroke</li>\n <li>Dementia and Alzheimer’s disease</li>\n <li>Epilepsy</li>\n <li>Neuropathy</li>\n <li>Multiple Sclerosis</li>\n <li>Parkinson’s disease and tremors</li>\n</ul>\n<p>  </p>\n<h2>Function/Duties of Position</h2>\n<p>Clinical Responsibilities include 9 outpatient sessions per week for general neurology services at the Hillsboro Medical Clinic location.  Distribution of EEG interpretations will depend on strong experience of candidate.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Participate in Departmental activities consistent with this position and with the understanding that this position requires a focus and dedication to Neurology outpatient clinical practice.  </p>\n<h2>Required Qualifications</h2>\n<p>* A qualified candidate must have a current unlimited Oregon MD (or equivalent) license prior to start date.</p>\n<p>* Board eligible or certifed Neurologist</p>\n<p>*  The provider must complete the credentialing process and be approved by the OHSU Professional Board to practice as an independent practitioner. </p>\n<p>*  The provider must be registered with Federal Drug Enforcement Administration and be authorized to prescribe medications prior to start date.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<h2>Preferred Qualifications</h2>\n<p>Demonstrated ability to satisfy standards of performance delineated by law.</p>\n<p>Ability to manage heavy workload with multiple priorities and inflexible deadlines.</p>\n<p>Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.</p>\n<p>Proficient in the use of computing hardware and software, including personal computing equipment, electronic medical record, word processing and spreadsheet software.</p>\n<p>Regular and consistent attendance at work.</p>\n<h2>Additional Details</h2>\n<p>All through your care, your doctor is in communication with your primary care physician, cardiologist, and other healthcare professionals.
