Join one of the nation’s leading comprehensive cancer centers. As Chair of the Department of Pathology at City of Hope, we invite applications for a full-time Genitourinary Pathologist to join our clinical faculty at our flagship campus in Duarte, California. This recruitment reflects our strategic commitment to strengthening subspecialty expertise and advancing academic programs in genitourinary malignancies. In addition to Genitourinary Pathology, the candidate will be expected to cover at least one other subspecialty area, such as Head and Neck, Bone and Soft Tissue, Gastrointestinal, or Breast pathology, as part of their clinical responsibilities. We seek a mission-driven academic pathologist with fellowship training in genitourinary pathology who will support growing clinical volumes, contribute to translational research initiatives, and engage in education and mentorship. Our faculty are dedicated to interdisciplinary collaboration, high-impact scholarship, and delivering subspecialized diagnostic excellence within a nationally recognized cancer program. As an academic medical center, City of Hope expects faculty to actively engage in scholarship through research and publication while also fulfilling a required commitment to teaching and mentorship of fellows, residents, and students, making both academic productivity and education fundamental responsibilities of this role. Position Highlights: Main clinical responsibilities will include the diagnostic service in Genitourinary Pathology, covering a wide range of cases involving prostate, bladder, kidney, adrenal gland and testicular specimens. Fellowship training in Genitourinary Pathology is required. The candidate will also participate in another surgical pathology subspecialty area. Join a multidisciplinary team of physicians and scientists in Southern California. Use digital pathology to provide pathology expertise in the COH national network. Develop and support translational and clinical research in genitourinary pathology. Participate in the training of fellows in our ACGME-accredited programs. Provide intraoperative consultations, participate in on-call rotations, and perform autopsy duties as part of the department%27s responsibilities. Participate in multidisciplinary tumor boards.
