    "description": "<h2>Job Description</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Responsible for all aspects of Provisioning Technical Documentation as required by individual shipbuilding contracts.</li>\n <li>Review vendor equipment drawings to determine & identify significant maintenance repair parts.</li>\n <li>Prepare & submit Allowance Parts Lists through the Navy’s ICAPS Client server for CDRL submittal to the Navy’s approval authority.</li>\n <li>Maintain accurate and complete records of work prepared and daily status</li>\n <li>Daily interaction with other functional areas in Integrated Logistic Support, Engineering, Procurement, Navy customer, and periodic Vendor support.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Required/Preferred Education/Training</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>High School Diploma / GED required.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Required/Preferred Experience</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Minimum of 5 years related mechanical, electrical, or other technical or trades experience preferred.</li>\n <li>Knowledge of the development of Provisioning Technical Documentation and the Navy Supply Support Process a plus.</li>\n <li>Familiarity with Navy Logistic Documentation, primarily Allowance Parts Lists and Tech Manuals is a plus.</li>\n <li>Ability to read, interpret, and understand vendor equipment drawings, specifications, and technical instructions preferred.</li>\n <li>Must be detail orientated, well organized, and able to strictly adhere to schedules.</li>\n <li>Knowledgeable in a variety of PC / Mainframe applications (Word, Excel, Access) is preferred.</li>\n <li>ICAPS/WSF/Deck Plate/WEBFLIS or other Navy Logistic experience a plus.</li>\n <li>Technical background with strong mechanical aptitude required.</li>\n <li>Excellent communication skills, both written and oral, due to frequent interfacing with Navy representatives and internal organizations.</li>\n <li>Ability to work in a close team environment and coordinate multiple priorities with little supervision required.</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>This position requires you to be able to obtain a government security clearance</strong><strong>.</strong>  <strong>Y</strong><strong>ou must be a US Citizen for consideration</strong> and you must be able to obtain an interim security clearance within the first 45 days of hire.  For more information regarding the security clearance process, please visit Investigations & Clearance Process (dcsa.mil)</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>2nd Class</strong><strong> Designer</strong> <strong>Required:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Minimum of four (4) years design experience, OR</li>\n <li>Bachelor’s degree in a related technical field (Engineering, Engineering Technology, Architecture)</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>3rd Class Designer Required:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Minimum of a High School Diploma or have completed a Trade/Technical/Vocational program.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>3rd Class Designer Preferred:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>High School Diploma with STEM endorsement.</li>\n <li>1 year of provisioning experience, OR</li>\n <li>Associates Degree in Technical School (Engineering Technology, Architecture), OR</li>\n <li>Graduate of BIW's Manufacturing division apprenticeship program, OR</li>\n <li>Seven (7) years of experience as a first class mechanic in a marine trade, or formal military training in a technical field.</li>\n</ul>",
