The successful candidate will provide daily reporting, maintain detailed weld tracking documentation, and support overall project quality and safety objectives. &nbsp;The project work is located in Austin, TX.</p><p><strong>Shift/Schedule:&nbsp;</strong></p><p><span>Shift/Schedule: 5 days per week / 10-hour shifts</span><br><span>Estimated Project Duration: Approximately 12 weeks</span><br><span>Estimated Start Date: Around June 10, 2026</span></p><p><strong>What you’ll do:</strong></p><ul><li><span>Perform visual weld inspections in accordance with ASME B31.1 and project specifications</span></li><li><span>Monitor welding activities for compliance with approved WPSs and applicable procedures</span></li><li><span>Verify welder qualifications and welding documentation</span></li><li><span>Maintain detailed weld logs including weld numbers, welder IDs, WPS utilized, material traceability, NDE status, repair tracking, and weld completion status</span></li><li><span>Generate accurate daily inspection reports documenting work progress, quality issues, and field observations</span></li><li><span>Coordinate with project management, QA/QC personnel, and field supervision</span></li><li><span>Identify and document non-conforming conditions</span></li><li><span>Verify proper material handling and fit-up practices</span></li><li><span>Assist with turnover documentation and final quality records as required</span></li><li><p><span>Maintain a strong commitment to safe work practices and site safety requirements</span></p><p>&nbsp;</p></li></ul><p>This position outline is a general guideline and does not represent all encompassing details. The position assumes that the incumbent has both the mental and physical requirements to carry out the above defined duties.</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p><strong>Minimum Requirements &amp; Qualifications:</strong></p><ul><li><span>Current AWS Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) certification</span></li><li><span>Demonstrated experience with ASME B31.1 piping systems</span></li><li><span>Experience with new construction piping projects</span></li><li><span>Ability to work independently with minimal supervision</span></li><li><span>Strong understanding of welding procedures, weld documentation, and quality control processes</span></li><li><span>Proficient with daily reporting and weld tracking documentation</span></li><li><span>Strong communication and organizational skills</span></li><li><span>Commitment to safety and quality workmanship</span></li><li><span>Ability to work a 5x10 schedule for the duration of the project</span></li><li><span>Valid driver’s license and reliable driving record required</span></li><li><span>Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States</span></li></ul><p>&nbsp;</p><p><strong>Preferred Requirements &amp; Qualifications:</strong></p><ul><li><span>Familiarity with piping isometrics and weld maps</span></li><li><span>Experience coordinating with NDE personnel and turnover teams</span></li><li><span>Industrial piping inspection experience preferred</span></li></ul><p>&nbsp;</p><p><strong>Intertek: Total Quality.
